I will do reports on as many games I can get to Steve. Also try and so some profiles again especially on the new players that have come up from U18's.

Good luck to the reserves at Erith and B on saturday-we don't want to be bottom for another week.

I read on the kent league site that we are indeed in the floodlight league and for you lucky locals, there is a HOME fixture next tuesday 9th in the floodlight trophy v Deal, and a tasty away encounter at Dover on 17th Sept

I don't know the score, but the kent league site in the tables section shows us now with 3 points so it looks as though we beat thamesmead reserves today

Well done the reserves.

A little cheer on a disappointing day otherwise.

Dover reserves away on wednesday i believe

It was a fairly good game with Thamesmead the more physical as the bookings and constant stop start by the ref, who missed a few things, told.

We kicked off and 45 seconds later Thamesmead were in front, slow to clear from defence. Gate rallied and although TFC were making more chances we played some good football, albeit around the centre spot. 0-1 at halftime.

Second half and it was about 50/50, again most of our best play was around midfield. A fine free kick gave Curtis a chance for a great glancing header, 1-1. We know what can happen next and it did, slow to respond as TFC rushed forward and it was 1-2. Gate fought on and finally all the hard work and frustration our number 7 had gone through paid off when brought down in the box. Elliot fired an unstoppable spot kick 2-2. Players began to suffer from the heat as TFCs big centre forward had several chances and it was he who gave TFC the winner.

Our number 7 was my Margate motm I expect most others too but he never really got the service and few chances to run at players from a telling position. Everyone else put in good performances and looking at the game on a whole you have to say how did we lose but I read that this is what`s been happening. Can`t see why we have narrowed the pitch by 2 metres but still have to go through the middle? and we need a goal scorer.

According to Kent League site we won 3-2, wonder how long they will take to spot the mistake!

I will be making my first appearance at a Reserve match on Saturday, so lets hope I bring them some luck.
