The Reserves (and floodlit matches ?)

Good luck to the reseves who kick off their season at Thamesmead on saturday i believe.

A bit of a concern is if you go to the floodlight fixture grid-Margate are missing from the teams competing-is that an error-or have we pulled out of the floodlit trophy games this seaon which would be a great pity imo.

 

i can't quite understand that if we are meant to be growing through our youth -surely fllodlight trophy matches are exactly the sort of experience that these younger players need;and its a chance for locals to see them in action;as many will go to first team games on saturdays.

 

I hope just an erroron the kent league site-but i fear its correct

Have contacted the club and have been informed that Ken has entered us for it so maybe Kent League not updated records yet?

Good luck for an injury free and successful season to the reserves, starting with a win at thamesmead tomorrow.

 

I hope that 3 players at least are able to permanently progress to the first team during the course of the season,because of their quality as opposed to need

Looking at the number of injuries in the 1st team I would imagine that a few, of the better reserve players, might be drafted in tomorrow. If so I wish them best luck and have confidence in their own ability because, from what I've seen, "you're all good, very good".

At the same time it will have a knock on effect of giving a chance to some of the u18s, in the reserves.
