MONSTER MONDAY

Bookham 1-4 Raynes Park Vale

We had a shocker, no drive, passion or battle and RPV deservedly won, RPV knocked it around and created some good chances wanted to win. After producing a good performance against Wembley on Saturday we play pants today.

south park 3 dorking 4

get in!

have to say what a brilliant setup south park have made there, decent pitch, floodlights, hard standing in place for the new stand, new changing rooms tea/burger bar at the footie pitch and an all round top class bar and clubhouse for all the sports clubs.

plenty of cash from govt/authorities so well done all there.

its a real eye opener for me what can be done locally.

dorking are getting near a very good side at this level, some top personal performances and second half a very good team effort.

seven goals and seven lagers for about 20 quid, i recommend it to the house.

Camberley 2-2 Ash

Because this was my first game today, I cant really judge on how well we did compared to other games, but we dominated Camberley for the majority of the game, missed our first goal because it was like 50 seconds in and arrived late because we couldn

Don't agree with that, I thought Chertsey always looked like they could up a gear if need be. Bedfont played OK and had a good spell in the second half but I didn't think the result was ever really in doubt. Unfortunately didn't get to meet Guv or mick t as left straight on the final whistle. A little while later, who should be wandering around Kingsmeadow in his Chertsey gear but one Kevin Cooper!

Agree with most of Jake F match report except after Ash equalised they still looked the more dangerous of the two sides. But a great team performance again just need to cut out the mistakes at the back & put the chances we create away & soon we should be climbing the table. Watching Camberley today they will be there or about at the top at the end of the season, hopefully we will be too

Why would a team need to "up a gear if need be". Shouldn't they be doing that anyway? So you're basically saying that Bedfont had "threatened" Chertsey more then Chertsey would've played better? So the highly paid stars at Chertsey were just treating the game as a training session and if your theory is correct then Bedfont were camped in the Chertsey half for most of the game ONLY because Chertsey didn't feel they need to up a gear. Hmm

And why the hell would Cooper walk around Kingsmeadow in his Chertsey gear? Granted he may be a legend at AFC, but walking around there in his gear is like holding a sign up saying "Look at me I play for Chertsey"

Good game at Krooner the draw probably a fair result although Ash had the better of the possession throughout the match Camberley had the more clear cut chances both teams should be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. The Camberley equaliser would win any goal of the season competition without any doubt. The quality of football played at Krooner so far this season by Camberley and both Badshot and Ash has been of a very high standard long may it continue

No - We had the pleasure of some of their top-brass there on Saturday to watch our demolition of Chobham ! Shame you couldn't make it !

Official Match Report:-

"Dorking completed a good bank holiday weekend with a second victory in the league, this time a 4-3 victory at South Park FC, with Chicks striker Dan Bennett scoring his second hattrick in only 3 days to make it 3 wins on the spin for Dorking. Against a battling home side, Dorking took control in the second half after an even first period, and were well worth their win at South Park's tidy new ground near Reigate.

With central midfielder James White suffering an injury in the Saturday win over Chobham, Chicks manager Tony Webb started with the side that competed most of the second half at the weekend, the experienced Warren Burton playing alongside captain Roy Newman at centre back with Aaron Leacock being pushed up into centre midfield.

South Park had gone into the game following a narrow defeat at last season's Div 1 champions Staines Lammas at the weekend, and came out at Dorking fired up, making life difficult for Chicks in the first half. Dorking were not helped by the groin injury sustained by Burton after only 10 minutes, the versatile Andy Briant coming off the bench to play at right back for the side, with full back Scott Harrison being pushed into the centre.

A half of few opportunities first saw Dorking take the lead when Dan Bennett headed home the first of his goals on the half hour, but the home team were level 5 minutes later through a stunning half volley that beat keeper Dan Coote from 20 yards, the Dorking keeper having another impressive game for the club. As the half finished, it was the home team that closed out the period the stronger.

After no doubt a stern half time team talk, Dorking came out in a far more determined mood in the second half, gelling far more as a team, and it was not long before first Simon Cassidy had a good effort save by the South Park keeper, then Dorking regained the lead when a great through ball from Andy Briant was superbly converted by Bennett to make it 2-1.

Within a minute though South Park had equalised, a flowing move down the Dorking left seeing the ball crossed in pin point fashion as Dorking failed to close down for a home midfielder to power his header into the top left hand corner of the Dorking goal with Coote helpless.

To be fair, having twice surrendered the lead soon after going ahead, Dorking responded well, and once more took the game to the tiring home side. Some magic from Bennett in the South Park area saw him weave his way past several defenders then set up Cassidy for a good close range finish, and this time Dorking were in no mood to concede the initiative to the opposition as 15 minutes from time Chicks killed the game when sub Gary Fennessey won a free kick on the Dorking right. Aaron Leacock delivered a fine cross from the resulting kick for Bennett to head home from 8 yards out for his second hattrick of the bank holiday weekend.

Dorking were in control for the final stages and could have extended their lead, but it was South Park who reduced the arrears with a late consolation goal deep in injury time from a corner.

All in all, a good win for Dorking as the side begin to gel, some good individual performances matched by a stronger second half team performance perhaps indicating that Dorking's CCL Division 1 season may show some potential.

Dorking now face a tricky away FA Cup tie on Saturday, 30 August, at Ryman league side Chatham Town. Any replay would be on Tuesday 2 September at Meadowbank. Otherwise, Dorking's next home game is on SAturday 6 September when Sussex side Sidley are the visitors to Meadowbank in the FA Vase.

Team - Dan Coote, Scott Harrison, Alex Hill, Warren Burton, Roy Newman ©, Aaron Leacock, Lester Bonfiace, Dan LAwrence, Simon Cassidy, Dan Bennett, Victor Donker subs - Luis Freitas (for Donker), Jesse Davis, Gary Fennessey (for Cassidy), Andy Briant (for Burton), Levi King."

Unfortunately I had to miss this local derby, being called in to allow the Bookham Management drown their sorrows after their match (?).

regrettably I couldnt attend as i had a lovely day out in london n17 which was only spoilt by a pre booked 3pm appointment with gloom.

I think having seen a few games and results now that the defeat to Frimley may not be too bad , equally the win against Chobham may not be that great.

Hopefully Chicks can get a bit nearer the top three over the next month or six weeks, and we can join the promotion battle, which will help keep the players.
