Was it Revenge

Guest Reardon was God

When Slough knocked Millwall out of the F.A. Cup in 1982/3 season, with a team of mostly local teenagers( yes ok they were managed by the mighty Terry Reardon ).

The Millwall owner and chairman was ALAN THORNE the very same man who brought this club to its knees-was it a revenge thing I wonder ?

Given that RWG is a former manager and professional scout (I'm assuming he means football scout and not the Baden-Powell variety) he must already have a list of potential local talent that Slough could snap up. Isn't that what scouts do? If he was the Slough fan he claims to be, I assume he'd put his professional credentials to good use for the good of "his" club and pass those details on.

I think he should be referred to as "Figment"!

RWG's comments will be doing no good at all.

He might, and surely will, claim it to be justified and accurate criticism but it is equally clear that behind it is a fair amount of bitternes, resentment and acrimony. Rather sad and disappointing considering he is obviously a knowledgable and long standing supporter.

Talking of doing damage to the club, do you think your negative rants do the club any good RWG?

Are you people for real-my thread was a tongue in cheek and at the same time a little bit of coincidental history for you.None of it can damage the club-the cup game was 25 yrs ago and the Thornes to my knowledge have nothing to do with Slough now.
For god's sake get real and get a life.

Well he should not have posted it on this thread then-but your still wrong its just my honest evaluation of the current situation, being a life long supporter its not nice to see a team out of its depth with a manager who has no experience whatsoever at this level and has no hope of turning things round. This is my final post on the subject-just wait and see if I'm right in my assessments.

RWG you are obviously well versed in Sloughs history and you say you have invested more time and money than I ever will.

You say that we need better players and more depth in the team.

You say you are a scout and have a good eye for a player.

Now heres your opertunity to prove how wonderfull you are - go out and scout 3 good players, put in the 7 day approach, sign them up, arrange their pay - 3 players on say
