Listening to Steve Flack (striker) on talksport, it would seem they are in the sh*t in more ways than one & could even be on the brink of folding, although this is probably a slight exaggeration.

The same gets said about most of the teams that come down, Halifax , hereford etc etc

 

Most survive ( With Newport Co. being the exception to the rule ), so I think Exeter will survive as well.. But to be honest I don't think they will bring much to the conference , but Swansea on the other hand...........

I was a student at Exeter University in the 1970s when they moved regularly between the then 3rd & 4th divisions and I was a regular on the terraces (when the Fleet weren't playing at Bideford or Minehead & later Bath or Yeovil.) Apparently their supporters still have the same hair 'styles,' dress 'sense' & vocal 'talent' as they did then!

 

Not a bad place for a weekend away, though - the pub adjoining St David's station is a real ale paradise. I'm hoping they join us & I can make a nostalgic pilgrimage to the lesser known St James's Park & one or two other locations in the neighbourhood.

The pub mentioned by our musical friend is 'The Great Western Hotel' described in the Good Beer Guide as "a Mecca for real ale." 10 ales on a regular basis & 150 during its August beer festival!

 

If they do come down, into the Conference, I know when I want the away game.
