Dont worry Elfie, we won't grass you up wink

Dorking 4-1 Chobham (Surrey Park Sides Division wink )

A comfortable win for the Chicks in the warm sunshine at Meadowbank. Despite squandering several chances in the first half, Chicks went into the break 3-1 to the good thanks to a hat-trick from Dan Bennett. He opened his account on 25 minutes as he entered the Chobham box and tip-toed round several defenders before stroking the ball home. Within 2 minutes it was 1-1 as Chobham won a free kick just outside the box which struck the post, the rebound being forced home by Chobham's no.8. On 37 minutes, Bennett scored again struggling free of Chobham's big no.5 to fire home. 3 minutes later Bennett gets his hat-trick as he rounds the keeper to make it 3-1.

After the half time whistle has blown, the ref appears to book Chobham's no.5 and also in an unrelated incident books one of Dorking's players (who wasn't even on the bench!) apparently for walking on the pitch??

Into the second half and Chobham start with purpose and Coote had to make a smart save from Chobham's no.3 on the hour to stop them reducing the arrears. Almost inevitably, Chobham's hapless no.5 saw red on 70 minutes for a second booking and it was 4-1 in the 77th minute when Gary Fennessy (i think) scored.

All in all a good performance from the Chicks and it should have been a more emphatic win - will this be the result to kick start a charge to the top of the Park side league i wonder. Bring on the South Parkers excited

Oh and I have to mention the referee today. I have never seen a referee quite as big as that in many years of football watching (and one of the lino's wasn't far behind!). Roly-poly was the word and he even did a roly-poly as he went tumbling midway through the second half! Not too bad as a ref, although very fussy.

Played in goal yay for the Ressies today in a 6-1 win against Farnham Town Res so dont know how the game played out at Wembley today other than we were never behind and Wembley I belive came from 2 down to 2-2 and we then went 4-2 up before Wembley reduced the arrears and we got the 5th very late in the game. GREAT win and wait for Gusset view with interest wink

Result at Raynes Park Vale was never in doubt for BG today, 3-0 at HT and should have been more. Game died of death in the second half, ref got injured and the stand-in denied 2 BG pens and gave RPV one in the last min to make it 5-2.

Tough match on Monday now v Badshot Lea.

True Mick, if hartley had tried to knock the ball about from left to right they would of had us in all sorts of trouble, but hard graft on our behalf did not let that happen and great performance by us bring on Chertsey, yes Hartly if you were there what did you think.

Feltham 2-1 Westfield

Missing a few players but no excuses for a shocking performace against a side that lacks any real quality. Despite playing awful we still should have won with a few good chances missed.

Well done Feltham who deserved their victory.

Final mention must go to the ref who was absolutely terrible. it i must stress it didnt affect the result of the match as he was terrible for both teams. For start he must have been 70 - if one of us coaches were to stand up in the technical area and shout instructions the second you stopped and paused for breath the lino told you to sit down as you werent coaching. The ref refused to speak to any players all game and gave away some laughable bookings along with several mystifing decesions. I dont know if anyone can check who the ref was today in our game but you've been warned- a jobsworth and spoiler of the highest calibre, and all this respect the ref campagin, how the hell can you when you have someone like both teams had today

Cove 3 Colliers 2 as the old saying goes game of two halves, colliers took an early lead from a well taken corner and then added midway through the first half, Andy Hunt then pulled off a Gordon Banks type save to deny the Colliers a 3 goal lead.Second half was all Cove, scoring early on from a well rehearsed free kick Martin Girling with the final touch then shortly after Mitch While following up on a slight error by the keeper, the goal of the game was soon to follow and was taken superbly by MOM Ashley Childs, some really good performaces from the Cove lads but we keep on giving teams a 2 goal lead.

Winning 3-0 is no fun at all Duncs. 2 nil down with 45 mins to go to get a result is what movies are made of. Reminded me of the great film 'Escape to Victory'.

The selected cast:

Hunty - Sylvester Stallone

Johnno - Michael Caine

Brunty - Pele

Passmore - John Wark

Girling - Ossie Ardiles

Mitch - Mike Summerbee

You will notice Johnno and Hunty as the only non real footballers there. No real suprise!!!
