Before the other side start a thread thought Id get in first.

If only we had kept Jay or jimmy or someone with a bit of experience - we lacked leadership and finishing so badly that canvey took advantage of the fact and showed us how to play football (second half that is). First half I though we were worth the entry fee, heads didnt drop when we went a goal down and the lads seemed to play as a unit. The second half was a totally different story and on that showing we will be lucky to survive this league. Im not asking for anyones head or pointing any fingers at players, but I think even they will be gutted by this wake up call!!!

Lucky me due to work i couldn't attend the game, so i didn't get to see us beat in this fashion, but i think we have to expect results like this with the current squad and there lack of experience, this is a season of unknown outcomes, there for we have to be prepared to face a few more scorelines like this home and away.

 

This is the season of rebuilding we should of had when we first got back to HDP, so sadly we must all grin and bear this, if it ends up in relegation this season but a stronger team in years to come then so be it.

Yes,first half we matched a very poor opposition (it has to be said!).

The fact that we lost by 4 does not make them world beaters by along way.

We were the worst of the worst today simple as that.

Dover may be in for a shock on Monday or maybe we'll be in for even bigger one but whatever result we have to keep believing,hoping & following OUR CLUB.

We knew what we had to start with this season but we must stay true to the players & continue to look for reasons to be cheerful.

Today there weren't many. Over 90 minutes we COULD have done better. We proved we CAN do that against a much much better side in Hendon.

We just have to grind out a result occasionally. This was one such occasion where we didn't capitalise. We must not make the same mistake again against similar opposition.

I totally agree, and it would be extremely reprehensible for anyone to blame any member of the squad, who all played their utmost and battled for the team.

But by god we need some experience and quality to fight alongside the lads and give them some direction. Jeez, Jimmy, Rob and Jay (to name but three) in the team today would have rent the opposition asunder, they were poor. And it was boys against men I am afraid, and that is not meant as any slur on our lads, just as they did'nt have the guile or tricks to the same extent. Or I might add the physical build. None of this is their fault.

I would also like to give all the old gits singling out players for their contempt from the sidelines a good slapping. They are not fit to tie the players' bootlaces.

Now before we totally ruin good footballing careers, Barry, sort it out.

I don't think you can call us poor, we played some great football today and scored two very good goals.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and see you all in January laugh

Correct, two of our normal first teamers were out - one of them a defender who got supporters player of the season last year.
