Bit of a shame really he was just starting to show some form towards the end of last season after his lenghy injury, but no real surprise as there is a lot of competition for places and he was well down the pecking order. I just fear for Slatts 'cause I can see the same happening to him.

He did well when called upon. Shame that he suffered a serious injury on his first league for us. He may of became a regular starter for us if it was not for that.

 

Best of luck to him for the future and I hope he finds a new club straight away.

Once Slatts is 100% fit, maybe send him out on loan to a lower league club for a few months to get him some first team football, then see what happens from then.

According to todays match programme (another excellent read incidentally), we had a game for the squad players last Wednesday against Daggers (which we won 4-2) and Slatts managed to last 60 minutes, so should definitely be pushing for a first team place shortly.
