all the best for tomorrow, margates never an easy place to travel to and come away with some points, so for that im going to go for a 1-1 draw.

Margate had the better of the half but Gordon hit that screamer to knock the wind out of their sails for a bit. Margate hit the post later on and I'm hopeful we'll pick it up in the second half and give them more to worry about in their own end.

 

Also had one of our substitutes(!) sent off at the end of the half, and the only thing the commentator on GATE Radio can come up with is that he kept warming up too close to the touch line after repeated warnings and a yellow card. Not sure who it was.

What a great game! 10/10 performance from our players today...and good to get a win under our belt.

 

Could have easily got 5 or 6, but I'm happy with 4! Every single player gaver 100% and the result goes to show what we can do. We obviously learnt lots from our first 2 games, and punished Margate today when they made silly mistakes.

 

Leon's goal was top draw, and David Lee's free kick screamer is a contender for goal of the season already - no keeper would have saved that!

 

Thought first half both teams were equal, but after they went down to 10 men they lost everything and we got 10x better

Danny Curran was the player sent off. Said something to the linesman apparently.

 

Top performance today especially in the second half. Dave Lee, Rich Halle and Dobbo were quality in the midfield. Lee was my man of the mattch, great free kick and rarely gave the ball away in midfield.
