I never gave any former player any stick. In the same way there were certain songs which I wouldn't sing, because I didn't think they were right.

I was one of the fans that joined in with the "judas" chant, and also shouted that bostwick had picked the wrong team to move to, mainly to try and put him off. I understand that players have to feed their families, and I wish bostwick all the best.

I just feel that this has been taken out of proportion.

I remember Sodje's return to stonebridge road, when york visited us last season. Everyone applauded him onto the pitch, and at the end of the game, he came over to take his applause from us.

And that's how a lot of us feel, it's all out of good humour, and it's a laugh for the fans and for Bostwick himself.

Respect. I think Hannah has summed it all up in one word.

I've bantered with ex-players, booed a few that maybe deserved it, but for those who don't deserve it and who have won things for this club, "respect" is the exact word for it.

However well it was meant, if someone started calling me Judas after I'd put in a year's work with proven results, I'd tell em all to feck off.

I still think Judas is better than some of the other things we could have called him, which would have resulted in a lot of people being ejected for breaking the rules regarding a certain new rule.

I can tell you now, if those kind of words had been used against bostwick, I would have not joined in.

As for telling us to feck off, stu, it just proves bozza is more the professional than you, I dare say he looked over at us and was thinking "what a bunch of tossers", or the like.

He took it in good spirit, and I hope that he does well in the future.

How do you know he took it in good spirit?

It's funny you should mention the word 't0sser' as that was one of the words being shouted at him.

I just think it's a bit unnecessary.

Let's hope the "good humour" doesn't get used on McPhee when he arrives with Weymouth.

Indeed. And a lot more professional than a lot of players who would have reacted.

All the more reason that Bozzie should be respected...

I can't say that I noticed Bostwick laughing. There is little doubt that he heard the abuse though.

Meanwhile the Plough End appeared to tolerate the trouser dropper show his backside to the pitch when Gash was being substituted. What was all that about? And where were the stewards?

I was talking to some guys outside the Plough after the game and apparently the guy was stood there innocently while someone came along to pull his trousers down.
