Slough ARE in the division they are in. Get used to it.

Ok lets take your points one at a time ! 1). Go and watch Maidenhead ? I did against Oxford , i was asked to run the rule over a player for a mate who was interested in signing him , it was pants only a few Oxford lads impressed , mainly their new signing Jamie Guy and he hasnt exactly set the blue square on fire
2) I was there when United got relegated , it wasnt nice , it NEVER happened 2 years in a row !
3)Chelsea still are a laughing stock mate ! I had one of those John Terry vodkas the other day , wicked stuff ! one shot and your legs go from under you !
4) Slough may be in that division and you feel free to get used to it i prefer to hope they are not going to make a career out of it !
5) Are you on a percentage from the Magpies for every disgruntled Rebel you send to York Road ?

There are suddenly a lot of Scouts and ex managers on this site putting players and the current management down.

RWG ex manager and Scout.

Bobby Davro who "runs a rule" over players.

This looks more and more like a conspiracy to out the current management either with the intention of replacing them, or due to sour grapes that they did not get the job.

Well ok it seems nobody on here heeds the rules of the site so here goes :- Firstly Semen Stains i dont claim to be a former manager or scout but i do know a decent player when i see one and have in the past encouraged some to go along to Slough , i was doing a favour for a pal that trusts my judgement thats all you need to know . You unfortunately have been watching dross for so long that i wonder if you would still recognise a decent player ?
I have not the faintest ambition to manage any football team at all , and i seriously doubt that is RWGs reasons for expressing his concerns , but you feel free to ridicule people who know what they are talking about , i note your thread congratulating RWG .
Theres no conspiracy from me or RWG to replace the manager , he is welcome to that job ! i have spoken to several ex managers about their experiences , so no thanks ! For the record it was the manager of a successful non -league team light years above Slough who asked me to look at a promising youngster from his former club and he used exactly that phrase , so you go ahead and find it funny sonny boy while i go off to roll up at your attempts at humour !

Bobby Hatt< Don't bother trying to educate Staines and his like-let the un educated remain so ! You'll never convince a moron about anything as they think they know it all.

These idiots on here think we don't go to Slough games, yet I'd wager I have seen more Slough games than they can count up too ( not a good example I know, given their state of education counting must come hard for them).

so rwg you are not only an ex manager ,a scout but also a teacher who seems to think that he can convince people by verbally abusing them that he knows more about a subject that arguably most men in this country are probably at mastermind level in although you might be salving some kind of hurt i'd give it a rest because you are on a hiding to nothing we don't care about your comments and we don't care for your ideas because me old chum like the rest of us you are not going to make a haporth worth of difference so what does it matter, so unless you have something constructive to say shut the f### up! duel

Its good to see that RWG and Bobbys Hatt have used there education to only be able to come out with putdowns and negative comments about the players and Sweets, and me being the village idiot can come out with positives and support for the Team and Manager.

You boys better get out those rose tinted glasses as the sun will be out today so you can tell us all about the good old days and how it is only those over a certain age that know what is good for the club and how it should be run!

All that I will do is get behind the team and cheer them on with my grade E "GCSE"- I will leave the moaning to you as it looks like you have a Masters Degree in that!

You are spot-on in that absolutely none of you make a "haporth worth" of difference!

But all you're infighting makes Sloughs "support" a laughing stock to any visitor of this site!.

Why don't you get a grip & understand football is all about opinions, take them or leave them instead of swearing & slagging each other off.

You're all as bad as each other!.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly - these guys will keep coming back with more crap if people respond to them.

I'd like to see RWG and Bobbys Hatt contribute by writing pieces for the growing list of player profiles on the website. Clearly they have a good memory of many past players that us 'newer' fans do not.

Isn't it strange that the same handful of posters come on here and back each other up in denegrading people who have critised the players or manager-what they most glaringly cannot see( or rather don't want to see )is that the rule of entertainment or life for that matter is that if you pay to be entertained then you are at liberty to be critical where it applies.Just because one or two of us have experienced non league at its highest level there is no need to knock people because lack of knowledge makes you uneasy.

Staines comes out with some old diatribe and when he's corrected along comes one or two mates to side with him and vice verser, but all that nonsense is not going to make a poor player any better is it.

Further more old staines keeps banging on about my being an ex manager and now a part time scout-but if he would like to put some money up I will show him my credentials( then he will be green with envy )No! he reminds me of the kid who takes his ball home when he doesn't get what he wants.

See ya all at Abingdon then.

Well let me just start by saying that for one of the best players in the clubs history you could at least have him down in the right position ! Cant really remember TR doing anything else but run the midfield ! Just a thought but you could put that right for starters ! I doubt Terry is too bothered really he knows what he did and most of the posters here dont appear to be bothered anyway !

Just had a look at the directory and you dont have even one of the team that probably made one of the best starts in Rebels history and mostly local lads ! Stevie Norman , Eddie Hutchinson , Joe Moloney , Vaughan Powell , Devon Petty etc. and what about guys who would run through brick walls for the club Timmy Turl , Bobby Underwood , Johnny Beyer , Dave Yerby etc. etc. etc, there are people still at the club who know those players im sure , Chris Sliski for one , Alan Harding , Ollie Haywood (sp ? ) etc. at the moment its a bit un - balanced , some very average players are on , some legends are missing , RWG is right when he raves about Les Hartridge he should be on there , is John Tebbitt still around ? he writes quality articles , i still read old progs with his round ups in . oh forgot to mention one of my favourite strikers Mickey Kiely what a grafter that lad was ! another who gave blood for the shirt , more than once ! Good to see Steve Bateman made it on ! another one who knew what the shirt meant ! I didnt look under L but is Tommy Lawrence even mentioned ? he wasnt a bad manager ! :-)

How about John Richie and Peter Cruise who both left after a Berks and Bucks Final at Maidenhead to join Arsenal and Vic Ackers who is now right hand man to Arsene Wenger.

From the Dolphin days Jim Hartridge Peter Giggle Steve Crosby Mick O'Sullivan.

Keiron Somers.

As RWG has stated above I was also very lucky and privileged to watch great players turning out for Slough from 1967 to the late 70's although Amatuer were top professionals in there own right.

I would be happy to help with that , somewhere at the back of my garage i have boxes of old programmes , i will try to get in there & get them out and have a look through , there used to be player profiles in the progs so details such as D.O.B , apps, etc. may be in there , will let you know .
