The nature of these threads sometimes confuse me as to who is arguing with who and about what.

 

I now don't know who is left who is right who is a [****!!****] and who is a geezer.

 

We are a tiny Island in world terms, so why should we take all these Asylum Seekers, there aint room. It's not a racial thing its a practical thing. You dont by a four seater car then try and stick eight in it.

Why would we want the euro? I can't see countries/foreign businesses not wanting to trade with us just on those grounds. Hardly gonna take their wares to Georgia etc. are they...?

But they might anyway Euro or no euro-, surely we could set up a system where we can deal with both currencies(hopefully without too much redtape) just look at how much cheaper it is to manufacture abroad. My company for example, make their product in India, they pay their workers the equivalent of £10 a week. And China is cheaper!

 

I don't understand in what other way business will lose out. they keep saying it will but how?

This thread has really got us all going. I can fully understand Urchino's point of view because of his background, and as I said yesterday, I'll fight to defend his right to say what he wants.

 

On the subject of Greenfields and Green-Belt. I live in the centre of Surrey, not 10 miles from Gatwick Airport ! Two Jags Prescott and the rest of the Loons want to expand Gatwick beyond all recognition, which would mean the end of the village of Charlwood. A very beautiful village that epitomises England. And for what ?

 

So more and more people can pop in and out of this country willy-nilly, with or without disease or passports ? (Yes ! It happens ! I know plenty of people who work there !)

 

NIMBY ? Yes I think so. What's wrong with Stansted for Christ's sake. That'll get you Essex guys going !
