... to your club doctor and other staff for their assistance in helping during & after the game following the unfortunate injury sustained by our keeper. All very much appreciated. I don't have any news on how he is at the moment - but will update our website when I do.

Very much a game of two halves. We ought to have been out of sight at half-time, but you came back into the game superbly second half and thoroughly deserved the point.

In response to michaelmichael's post on the live at Hartsdown Park thread - we had 6 players in our starting line up who were not with the club last season and another three on the bench - we've had quite a bit of upheaval as well.

Good luck for the rest of the campaign - you looked a far better side second half than Dartford did on Saturday at any time.

Thanks, i hope your keeper is alright. To me it seemed he was unconscious, so i expect you will have him back in goal for Saturday. I have to admit i didn't think you will do aswell as what you did last season, but after seeing you tonight i think you could have a shout of a play-off place.

Thanks for update Steve, hope your goalie soon recovers. Thanks also for the kind remarks and look forward to the return match in December, maybe at Wembley! grin

Glad your keeper is ok.

Thought you were very impressive in first half-and also in the second aswell in all honesty.

Did Hendon play better last night than in your Dartford game ?

I suspect that rather than Margate play poorly first half, you Hendon guys put in an 'exceptional performance-or would you say it was the normal type of performance from you ?

Hendon played at 100mph first half & blasted us but they did what I expected them to do & tired badly in the second half. They couldn't keep that pace up for 90 minutes.

It seems, judging by lots of reports that I'm reading & from what I've seen so far,our games and other games, that a lot of teams play good for one half or the other. We're not alone in having this problem.

For a team to win this league or be a real force they have to do it both halves or pace themselves better.I haven't seen one yet but in time I'm sure I will. When I do they will be my choice to go up at the end of the season.

Michael - we were far better last night in the first half, and we did still play pretty well in the second. The difference between last night and the game against Dartford is that you changed your game plan, and your manager really got your players fired up and they responded fantastically. Dartford just kept playing the same way, and that was easy for us to deal with.

I don't think we'll dominate a half again this season as much as we did in the first half last night. Only the woodwork and your keeper stopped the scoreline being higher at half time.

I must also say I do enjoy coming down to Margate - win, lose or draw. We're always made welcome - far more so than at certain other clubs.
