No they have no been fantastic, but you asked what Sweets has done to improve the team. He's brought in those players that are better than the previous.

Simply answered your question ;-)

Nope. Well, I might go to away games as that means that the dross currently representing the team don't get any of my money, but I doubt it. I have better things to do with my time and money than watch the deluded masses carping on that everything is going to be okay in the end. I've seen it twice in the last two seasons that it won't be alright in the end, so if Slough get relegated, or go bust... well, I won't shed a tear. In fact, I don't think I would even care. I hope that a thread starts up celebrating the fact that I won't be posting here anymore, daring to criticise the mighty Slough Town, the incompetent bastards that have run it into the ground for god knows how long, the pendantic idiots who believe everything the club says or the absolute shower of [****!!****] that have represented the club over the last two years. I salute you all, but if I never saw any of you again, well, its no loss to me. I'm sure the club won't miss my

WoW ! Liam no one can defend the debarcle last night ..it was shameful and damaging for the club ...do you think in your right mind it does not effect how everyone feels who supports Slough EH ? do you think we all went home last night happy and contented ?

Your rants and rave's you may feel justified, fair enough. but your constant personal attacks on people who care proberly more than you ever will, will solve the problem, with this in mind I personally would like to welcome you to a board meeting where you can vent your blood and anger and tell us all what we are doing wrong...

I will be in touch ...and let you know..

take it you up for that instead of continuining this hurtful and damaging rant...

cheers chris sliski

Right, now Liam has left the building its back to business:-

As Chris said it's one result and we must try and put last night's game behind us. Along with Martin, Aidan, Phil, Lynn and I will be at the Cinderford game on Saturday as usual.

On another note can I say say a big thank you for all the hard work put in pre season by Steve and Co. The stall in the Observatory was a good idea and a big success in my opinion. There was a lot of new genuine interest created in the club. I can say this for a fact as I was just one of the people who spent a couple of Sunday's helping out along with Lynn.

Alan Harding, Dan, Mike, Chris and Glen and many more put a lot of time and effort into this project, well done guys.

I will also be at Cinderford, but if its anything like the reports i got yesterday (i was unable to attend) i will continue my 30 miles max for away games thing which i continued for a large chunk of last season. Personally, from the preseason and Burnham i though we had a better squad than last season with some very gifted attackign players, whereas last season i predicted a bottom 4 finish, during preseason i think i said 12-14th. I honestly cant comment on last night as i wasnt there...but..... not only did we throw away the lead against Burnham IMHO during the last 10-15 minutes we were lucky not to conceed more. I will reserve criticism 'til ive seen a few more matches, but hearing comments from people such as 'we were awful and the team seemed more interested in bitchign at each other than trying to beat an average Leigh team' does not fill my heart with confidence.

Defensively the team is a shambles there's no doubt about that.

Against Burnham they were lucky not to be 2-0 down before Harper scored thanks to the post and Fenton's goal line clearance. Any team that plays with a high tempo, plays a ball over the top or through ball to someone with pace will score end of.

Windsor Rebel, yes North Leigh is a village but thats like saying Forest Green Rovers is a village team.
Having seen North Leigh play many times over the past 15 years, and having watched them demolish Banbury United in the final of the Oxfordshire Senior Cup Final in April I am not surprised that they beat you (although 6-1 was a shock) nor will I be surprised if they beat my team (Didcot) on Monday. North Leigh have a very good team and a very bright manager in Mark Gee.

Cinderford, your oppos on saturday, are a massive side by the way. Three players taller than 6'6" and they are a good old fashioned Southern League outfit. Beat us 2-0 last weekend and we would not have scored if we were still playing now.Still, no reason why you can't win if you can draw with Burnham.

Glen W. It would be interesting to know how long you have been a supporter ( 5 mins I'm guessing ).It has nothing to do with playing in the conference or wether Reardon was playing ( though take it from me he wouldn't lower himself I reckon, playing with that lot).No its all about pride in what you are doing, commitment, and being good enough at the level you play.Only in recent times have Slough ever lost by 6 goals in a game, certainly never been humiliated !!

Some one said the manager was hopefully the best applicant for the job-this I don't believe, unless the pay is that poor.

I truly think the only way forward assuming the ground is going ahead-is to finance the team to hopefully regain the high standards, otherwise there will be a ground with no one in it !!

ps. people keep saying its early days, only 1 game etc,but you can see it will be many games shortly unless something is done.

You guess wrong smile

ok maybe it was a bit harsh but your judgement is still harsh on the management who start a season with a fresh slate, give them 10-15 games and if we are in trouble i will concede you were right. we kept faith with DW for a long time. all im saying is how can you possibly know the future.

Last week it was Sweetman's fault. Then it was the players. I am truly relieved to be informed that RWG has seen the light and decided it is my (and idiots like me)fault. RWG, please tell me what I must do to save the club from my idiocy.
