Well now Pierson has gone we only have 4 defenders in the first team squad (according to our website anyway), is it just me or is that not right?! Unfortunately it has to be proven the hard way with such a terrible result!

For the last 2 seasons we have had a lot of passion and desire to win, however we have been lacking in decent talent to compete in the leagues we have been in, I was hoping that it wouldn't be the case this season but it seems that our defence is severely lacking.

Was a [****!!****] performance, end of.

 

2nd to every ball, actually no, not even 2nd to any ball. North Leigh were just given the time and space to walk through the team at will.

 

Defensively the team was a shambles but tonight all the team were poor, apart from perhaps DJ who even though he had no options available to him when he had the ball a couple of times did actually work for it. He should not be coming deep for the ball so much so he is actually joining the back 4 for it.

 

I have to agree with the Anon too, Daly is shocking. Tonight I was able to watch him not mark players a free kicks, corners and attributing at least 1 of North Leigh's goals to the fact he didn't track a player leaving a 20 yard gap between him. This was at 4-0 when I had enough and left.

 

Not to take anything away from North Leigh but they played very well and some of their football was fantastic to watch along with the goals they scored. Well done to them, but Slough made them look so much better than they were - something I believe was said time and time again last season.

Daly scored a blinder, Jacko was helpless on the first five goals (maybe suspect positioning for their third or fourth) but their fifth summed up everything that is [****!!****] wrong with this team, as Slough allowed a player to run UNOPPOSED from the far touch line, into the box and almost to the goal line before crossing for an easy tap in. A FORTY YARD RUN WITH NOT A SINGLE [****!!****] CHALLENGE!!!! Gumbs showed some passion when he came on but every single other player who started that game should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. All that bullshit about positive attitude and having a decent squad on paper means less than [****!!****].

 

This is the same crap team that can't string two passes together, can't mark, can't tackle (You know, the BASICS) and are just awful. It will be a long, long, LONG time before I willingly part with my money to watch that shower of [****!!****] again.
