2-0 Da Fleet, Full time.

 

A few observations from the match.

The Fleet handled the conditions a lot better than Torquay did. It looked bad on the webcast and the Fleet seemed to play lower balls and more into space.

Michael Gash reminds me of Brian McBride. Good in the air, good decisions with the ball, good job getting back and helping out on D, and a stabilizing force up front.

A big difference on the back line with Paul McCarthy in the lineup. Torquay didn't get the behind the defense and Liam made mention of it in the post-match interview.

What a great goal from Big John, a nice quality touch produced a huge goal for the Fleet.

Good job guys, a quality, efficient performance nets 3 points!!!

The game was great - good result and we out played a so called bigger team...

 

I still to this day (7th year in this league) love how oppo's (generally) give us no credit whatsoever... Hoof ball, cloggers, long ball, conditions, c*** teams like ebbsfleet, should be beating them, Oxford or better wouldve stuck 6 past us etc etc etc etc etc

 

Hillarious!! lets keep being the under dog and win the league when everyone thinks we should be 12th before a ball is kicked...

That was a great night last night, excellent football played by the Fleet. Love a repeat performance this coming weekend.
