Falling attendances

Hillingdon borough having been moved from the southern to the ryman north had 35 people watching them yesterday which is down from about 70 average last season, does seem a shame really considering they won the southern league cup beating some top sides along the way. Cant be easy living in the area they do where there is a lot of competition.

Added to the competion of the area the whole first team squad and manager have recently left the club following a dispute between the social and football directors.

The reserve team plus a few university players are turning out for them at the moment, it will be a miracle if they avoid relegation this season.

It is a very similar situation to what happened at Slough a few years ago with the Thornes and their Mayfair Suite isolated from the football club, hence no financial backing to the football club.

It is a great pity that some of these club directors obviously are not there for the interest of football alone but with other motives.
