"Hornchurch did well & on the whole bossed the game. Had you got beat 5-1 or 5-2 you could have had no complaints but as for Hornchurch being champions? Not so sure. Early days.

I'm sure you'll encounter teams even better than that in the future I'm sure."

from flowram

"Hornchurch wasnt nothing special they defended as a unit midfield won their battles and created more and attack took their chances thats what won their game they didnt really look that sharp not compared to the likes of Dover & Staines who will rip us apart if we play like that against them."

funny that as flowram has obviously seen the newly promoted dover play against ryman prem opposition week in week out!!

I think some people look at results like dovers 4-0 and just assume that because of one match they are now title favourites.

If thats the case then i am putting all my money on bolton & hull city to finish one,two in the premier league!

Ramsgate was a difficult place to get out of.

20 minutes getting around the corner, due to the power steering going.

Seeing Terry running down the road in front of the coach was worth the fare.

Excellent job by the driver to get us home, eventually.

No but i did see them on 3 occasions in Pre-Season they kept up with Charlton totally outplayed Gillingham and the football they play is just a pleasure to watch, with the signings they made from us to add as well as Sammy Moore, Jerahl Hughes quality players to add to there already really strong squad they will be right up there with you guys, and us as well when we find our feet smile.

we ripped apart welling in pre season but i would be naive to think we could do the same should we get them in the FA cup.

Fact of the matter is that teams raise their game to those who are leagues above whereas teams above tend to a) field weaker sides and b)not try too hard in pre season games, its more about match fitness than results!

I'd agree on that but on the match fitness issue they looked sharper faster technically/mentally/physically stonger over Gillingham's first team and the team Charlton sent down was also a very strong one.

Sammy Moore last season playing for Brentford/Stevenage, Jerahl Hughes for Yeovil Olly Schulz, Dean Hill, Sam Jones key players in our season to reach play-offs.

As well as their fanbase, facilites, and backroom staff make them a force.
