I thought we played well today, Curley and Styles bossed the midfield, with Hodges and Deano bothe creating stuff on the wings. The goal we had dissallowed was at least a foot onside, as i was in line with it. Unfortunate to concede straight away after that, but a good finish from Jesus got us back in it and brilliant work from Deano to grab the second. Loadsa chances created in the 2nd half which was another positive, and a superb save by Dale from the penalty and the follow up block from purds was superb. A well deserved 3 points and a good start to the season.

Well deserved win. You should have won by more(4 or 5).Them scoring a second would have been an injustice. Well played.

Was sorry to have missed the game and the travelling Urchins,i had to rush to London late Friday evening due to a family member being rushed into hospital.

Talking to a few people you deserved your win, and could and should have been by a bigger margin.Good luck with the rest of the season,and hope to see you at the away fixture.Once again Good Luck.

Interesting game of two halves. First half we dominated and should have had a couple more, offside which was not and the hand ball in the box.

Second half was a different matter, fitness and attitude taking its toll. Official was weak after disallowing another appeal for a hand ball in the box, yet allowing a Ramsgate penalty when she fell over in our box.

Physical game and when last year we would have conceeded the equaliser, this year we were strong and held out for a decent, yet deserved three points.

MOM was difficult Mrs DTC recons it was John Purdie, I on the other hand, could not decide as it was a good team performance.

Definitely deserved by you boys, sat with your fans and were a decent bunch. We deserved to lose but as usual Cookie exaggerates and forgets that but for some brilliant defending you would have drawn 2 all. Well done and well deserved, but dont take too much notice of Margate crap!!!!

two pens turned down for blatant handballs...two disallowed goals for dodgy offside and your penalty was a joke...she fell over her own handbag....

I do & always have said it as I see it whether it be Ramsgate Margate or another.I exaggerate not, in fact I might have understated things.
You have to learn to take defeat more gracefully & accept that on occasions you will get negative comments.Thats how I saw things today & if you were there then thats how you should have seen things too.But then again I expect your'e blindfolded half the time or just plain biased.
Thats not the way with me & long may I continue to comment in that way.Had it been Margate on the end of that result I would have commented in the same way about our performance.
Now how about you go & grow up & accept that your team is not as good (not today anyway)as you think they are.

Thought is was a very entertaining game, after the first 3 quick goals I was hoping for a 6-5 finish.

 

2nd half you dominated them, but never finished the chances

 

My player of the match was your midget, I have a feeling that he will be in panto over the christmas period and you will miss him

 

Nice to meet some more urchins. Another wide essex boy in Diz, and another lady with challenging language in darter !!!

hodges ran things in midfield,i thought thommo was quality as he is not a natural left back but always puts in 100% and was brilliant yesterday.Dean green is going to terroise defences all season

Hodges was brilliant I thought and like UM i thought tommo played well considering he is not a left back and well done to dal for saving that penalty and was impressed with dean green

the movement upfront was superb, hodges ran the show in midfield and styles and curley were quality. Defensively solid , my only problem would be that we are going to need to take our chances more often if we are to do well this season

Well I am not biased against Ramsgate

We created a lot of chances which was good to see.

Understandably the strikers want to score themselves, but if we had passed instead of shooting from all angles we would have had a lot more goals and wrapped it up before their penalty.
