The team have arrived at Ramsgate to a very warm and hospitable welcome. It's a lovely day down there and everyone is looking forward to the game. A lot of work has been carried out on the ground since last season. New brightly covered terraces have been installed behind the goals, the goals have brand new nets and the pitch is in absolutely pristine condition. It's a truly excellent setting for our opening game of the season.

 

The lads are now having a run out on the pitch.

 

A huge Jumbo Jet can be seen on the very small runway of the local airfield. How did it get there? The runway doesn't seem long enough for a Jumbo!

 

A large crowd is expected and a great match is in prospect.

Weather is on the change and it's becoming overcast now - but still very warm. Rain is forecats for around 5pm but it may arrive a little sooner.

 

An interesting new rule is in force from today. The Referee must inform both benches of the time he is adding on at the end of each half. Could be some interesting reactions!
