So looks like we're level with TOTS (who missed a penalty in 2nd half), but have to face Hendon(who trounced Dartford 3-0) on Tuesday.

Disappointing having led for so long but long way to go so can't read too much into things at this stage. Impressive wins for Dover and Maidstone though.

Not too disheartened as we are not being trounced as was expected by the bookies. The team is still in GEL mode so may be better results to come - CMON U BLUES

Must say I'm feeling quite positive, as I've been told we weren't being overwhelmed by Carshalton and were playing some nice football.

 

I have to admit that, upon the appointment of BA and hearing the budget was drastically cut, I feared we'd not be strong enough for the League. Pre-season is never a good barometer of how we'll perform 'when it matters'.

 

So well done BA and the Lads - keep up the good work.

Well though we lost they seem to have exceeded all my expectations today from what I hear.I say well done the lads,lets not drop those heads & take something from this game. I'm sure BA learnt a lot from today.

This defeat dosen't mean we shouldn't get up there on Tuesday & give them an extra man.Lets go into Tuesdays game even more determined. Hard lines everyone but one step better on Tuesday night will be just reward for a good first half showing today.

Took in the Ramsgate game & oh boy were they fortunate to only lose by the one goal.They should have equalised fron the penalty spot close to the end but Mo Tako,after having scored a cracker in the 5th minute then decided to shoot straight at their keeper. One minute great finish,the next awful.

Rams only got into the game really about 15 minutes from the end. Hornchurch looked decent enough & should have scored at least another 5.

Hornchurch won on merit & they would have been kicking themselves had they let that game slip.Championship winning material?...I'm not too sure but they were superior today.

Mark Goodfellow had a good game at right back. Has lost weight & looks the part.

Played very well today, their manager approuched Ashby after the game and said he felt we deserved a point.
