Waltham Forest???

Sorry guys I might be accused of just getting my head out the arabian sands here, but can anybody tell me whats happened to Waltham Forest and why they are now playing at Ilfords ground?

 

Plus who are Mauritius Sports? they are now using Wadham Lodge as their home ground in the Essex Senior League.

I believe there was a conflict about the rent , Or so I was told .

 

Mauritius sports must be happy to pay up whatever it is .

There's some interesting stuff on the WF website about them being forced out. Well worth a read.

As for MS they are/were a Tottenham based side that was admitted to the ESL at the beginning of last season. Their sponsor, Air Mauritius, paid for them to ground share at Aveley last season. I suspect that the Wadham Lodge deal is cheaper, but the way WF were pushed out leaves a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth. I can't see MS bringing any more money to the WL Trust.

Just read the WF website. Yes it does look like its down to money.

 

I'll get slated for this I know, but why do people 'waste' their energies with clubs that dont have potential to progress? I know passion and love is a reason, but WF dont get any crowds (except for away supporters) and they now have no ground. It must be so difficult for the management.

 

I believe that its all a waste of effort unless you have a dream combined with potential hope of reaching the Conference divisions, whether it be South/North or Prem.
