No disrespect to the pre season frendlies but tomorrow afternoon at 3pm, we start the 2008 / 2009 campaign and I can truthfully say, I'm excited. I think we're in for a chance and if the management are going to ballsy about this (as I think they will), then IMO, I think we should go 4 4 2 and play to our stregnths.

 

My team would be:

Ferguson, Flack

 

Subs: Semanshia, Bricknell, Burbridge, Shave, Buckfield.

 

The best form of defence is attack and if we keep the ball on the ground, we're in for a great start for the season.

I'd go with Gazza's team but only if I was confident that Flackie would be fit to start on tuesday... we're now into the 2 games a week stuff and for a game like Staines where I would expect us to have to defend for long spells, it might make sense to start with Burbs to give us an outlet, thus keeping Joe for Tuesday. It's a nice problem to have!
