Lets be serious for a minute, yes the guy has a past, but we've all made mistakes. But he is trying to do something good at Chertsey, he's invested heavily in there youth system, is looking to build a new stadium and cleared all the club debts etc. He's bringing good players to our league and if you look at his interview in the non-league paper last season he will freely admit he was an idiot back then.

Its obvious he's worked hard and still does to make his money and if he wants to spend and enjoy it by giving a club half a chance of doing well, then fair play.

People, stop all this Chertsey/Spencer Day bashing. He has a past, he's made mistakes, so what?? He's investing his OWN money in Chertsey Town football club. The CLUB, not just the first team. If he wants to pay top whack to attract players then that is his business. If they win the league, you lot will moan that he basically bought it. If they don't win, you'll still have a go. The guy can't win.

 

Also, players [at Chertsey] should learn to keep their mouths shut about the wages they're on. It's quite childish to hear posts about "my uncles next door neighbours babysitters brother plays for Cherstsey and he's on

listen boys, who really gives a rats ar~e what is happening at Chertski, lets all be honest we all have enough problems at our own clubs ( i know i do) to worry too much about it. Everyone knows we had fireworks over there last season, and me and Spenser had a very public written arguement but thats football i believe its called kidology, i think. On monday when Chertski visit i hope we will give them a tough game on the pitch, then have a laugh about last season off it, if he wants to spend his money so what its his money. This debate is getting seriously more annoying than Dorking last year
