Just watched it on ITVlocal.com - didn't tell us much we didn't already know, other than the fact that he allegedly posed as Whitney Houston's agent at one point

I don't think Eye has a problem with Chertsey or indeed any football club.I think it is more a case of being anti sugar daddies, who pick up clubs like a child does a toy and then discards it when they have had enough,leaving them in a far worse state than they ever were before.

you could be right swoons. As chairman of Horley fc, eye1 should be a bit more careful about what he says about another clubs owner and manager.

 

He could write an article in the programme or on the website comparing clubs with "sugar daddies" and committee based membership clubs, if thats his concern.

 

what he is doing here is a personal attack on a mans past and character in a similar way to how people posted about dorking fc and its board.

eye1 was most indignant about that, and indeed the forum was threatened with legal action and closure.

TSF I have only repeated facts or things that have already been in the public domain, I have never said anything new or that was not true, so get your facts right. Slander is when you say something about someone that is not true.

Also TSF do you not think that when someone comes along like SD it distorts the league and then becomes unfair to the other clubs, who by hard work build a team like Merstham and do it the proper way Grass roots football should not have sugar daddy's that mostly dissapear at some stage, leaving the club with all the debts.

 

I Have no problem with people coming along and spending money on the infastructure of the club and wish a lot more would do it, but to not spend money on the club and purely spend on players is wrong, which then puts you into a position which is not sustainable in the long term, just look at the teams it has happened to in the last five years.

Can I just say that people do need to be careful what they say on a public forum. We have already had a warning from Ian re stuff posted over Droking. Lets not get into that again.

have horley given up on the league already then?

looking at what is going on at chertsey plenty of money is going into the youth and infrastructure, and a couple of bob on monogrammed towels which is nice.

No Horley have not given up anything we do not change our policy depending on what other clubs do

Is spencers ego that big, that he would put his family through the scrutiny that any success will bring. not just on this forum,but the more wins they have in the cups, each team will delve into SPENCERS life. i feel for his family, i cant belive he can be that selfish.
