Much discussion in the bar after the game and on the coach home last night on the subject of Luke's hat-trick, so I am a little surprised that nobody else has raised this topic earlier today....

 

Was this the first hat-trick scored by an EFC/ETFC player ever in a cup final?

There were no definite answers amongst the worthies last night, but there was a suspicion that Tony Bass may have done it in the mid-sixties, in a Dylon Shield final.

 

Any comments?

Oops! Thanks for pointing out my mistake FJ. Of course I should have typed 'mid-seventies', which is what I meant.
