No, I'm not suddenly saying this is a must win game, it's only the Second game of the Season, but after the way we snatched a draw from the jaws of victory on Saturday, I think the lads could do with an early boost of confidence and Three points against R&D tonight will do nicely.

R&D spent quite a bit this summer and are reported to have landed some very good players. Yet they only scored one against Eastborne Borough. I'm expecting a tight game, probably a draw. But 3 points away would make up for the disappointment Saturday.

If we go at them from the off before they have time to settle, I'm pretty sure we'll have a good chance. Let's all hope for a win!

Not sure about this one. As Robert says, they have brought in a fair few new faces.

 

Am thinking positive though. If we're on song, we can have anyone in this League.

If we play like we did in the first half, and get the ball out to Stacy and Ricky on the wings, we'll give them a game, and possibly win. If we play long balls like we did in the second half, then we may as well play Akinde and Moore, as Gash isn't the sort of player who'll do well chasing balls over the top.

I'm confident of a 2-1 win tonight. Our defence were bound to have got an earful from Liam Daish after the Mansfield game.

 

I'd like to see Ricketts get a start, and maybe George Purcell as well.

 

It will be a toughie, but one I am looking forward to!

I don't want to pile on Hawkins, but watching the game carefully on tv last night, I hope he doesn't start again. Most of the long, aimless balls were launched by him, and he was left for dead by Manfield attacks far too often, the most glaring example of which was the build up to the 2nd goal.

 

On the other side, Darius Charles played a helluva game. Whenever Sacha went forward, Charles was in place to cover. And his pace is brilliant for a defender.

 

Ricketts or Pooley at RB?

Hawkins has always been slow, he is a solid defender but any forward with any pace goes past him every time.
