Just nipped in before midnight!

 

Aug 11th, 1969 - Young JJ taken by father to see Margate cruise past Brentwood (before the merger with Chelmsford) 1-0. A 40 yard left-footed screamer from Bryan Clifton which went no higher than a foot off the ground. Crowd nearly 2000 on a barmy August evening.

 

Aug 11th, 2001. Margate take SL Championship match for the fourth time against Worcester City on penalties.
