1st Goal

there is some confusion about the 1st goal according to bbc Luke Moore is claiming it saying he tapped it in last.

even if luke did score it (which i think he did) you would give it to gash though because he's a new player!! it just goes to say how desperate luke is for goals!!

NLP said it was going in anyway and Moore poked it over the line. Its a bit like the England game last year when the debutant (cant remember his name) helped it over the line and claimed an already certain goal.

Who cares, Luke Moore made doubly sure the goal went in, if he left it for the goalkeeper to collect... then "nil pois" for the Fleet. So, Luke Moore for the goal.

I agree with Kev. It's not a goal until it crosses the line. So yes it is Lukes. The only thing that made me laugh was the way and how long he pointed to his own chest to claim it. When the announcer said it was Gash, Moore looked up at the box and glared. Then when he walked off at half time he was still pointing to himself and gesturing up to Macca. At least it shows passion.

See the Cameraman's posting previously - he said the video clearly shows it was Luke's goal.

As has been pointed out before, Michael's shot hit the post, rebounded onto the keeper and was rolling slowly towards the goal line. So, if it had gone in it would have been an own goal, or the keeper might have recovered to stop it before it crossed the line. To Luke's credit, he did what all good strikers do and that is to follow up a shot to poach off any rebound. Conclusion, if it hadn't crossed the line it was Luke's goal without a doubt. Having said that, all credit to Michael for an excellent strike.
