Margate 3 Cray Wanderers 1

First time Ive seen Margate this season and I must say going on other teams Ive seen. Dover, Dartford, Ramsgate, Maidstone, Tonbridge to name a few in PSF I hope they sign a good 4 or 5 decent players because that was poor today. Cray were equally poor and not a patch on their team last season but like us they have lost alot of money on the budget this season. We have no real strength in the middle. First time I've seen Power and can't believe he's a replacement for Pins or Haworth, he is very much like Haworth without the running and commitment.

also can Alan or Josebawho were close to the problem explain why the supports are already arguing with each other by the toilet block about 10 mins into the game.

I'll probably get slated for my views and maybe this is the best we can expect with the budget but do I give a f-ck not really.

Not much to go on;and its not exactly an unusual name, but there is a very obscure mention of a sam taylor(crystal palace) trialling for VCD 12 months ago in this little lot:

Appears to have played in defence.(jack Parkinson was in the same trial match )

cant believe no-one has mentioned the keepers today scot made a couple of OUTSTANDING saves in first half as did their 17 year old goalie very good i thought also mullins didnt have too much to do in second half but hey isnt that a good thing?? am feeling a little more optomistic after today 50/1 seems fairly good odds all of a sudden but still things to work on i think, but 2nd half i thought we were a million times better than the first! HERE WE GO JUMP ON THE ROLLERCOASTER RIDE THAT IS MARGATE FC.

i believe we wil really need and come to value SCS this season.

His ability to pull off those amazing point blank saves is going to be needed as undoubtedly we will be under the cosh alot of the time.

he even won us about 3 games last season (lost us one aswell )by his world class shot stopping alone.

(thinking about it-was it carlshalton at home when he saved the game single handedly ?).

I hope MFC take him off the transfer list

All I heard Tony was some chap laying into the players on the pitch as if he could do better saying how useless they were etc so he was politely informed to stop getting on their backs and try supporting them instead.

personol opinion again?,keepers will be judged by the errors they make, which is right.

we can discuss/argue/ for ever about keepers, sugest we leave to the very able management team we have in place to come up with the right decision.

lets face it,we proberly have the best back room team in non league football, including one of the best keeper coaches at any level of football.

Good Alan. It pisses me off seeing people slate and abuse young footballers that have so much potential. If they don't like what they see then quite simply don't come. I find it funny to some degree because alot of the time these people have never touched a football in their lives.

The mentioned supporters slating the kids say exactly the same words every game, its like a script. Even in the Conference days it was no different.

I thought midfield we need more, 2ND half Kieron Morris made a big difference.

A couple of times 2ND half the big lad up front was to be seen sauntering in from the 1/2 way line as poor old Ryan was working small miracles inside the opposition box with no support.

The team are a work in progress.

Scott's saves were out of this world, the first one would have made Banks, Schmeichel, Buffon and Czech proud. had we been on the Telly it would be talked about for years. But when will he learn to communicate in the Box

Yep same here Paul, it certainly kept him quiet for sure after that. People will always moan but when directed at players, I for one, think that is totally wrong, though I know others will strongly disagree. Ironically the player in question ended up having a decent game.

i thought Power was pants in that match, Peters was brilliant. dunno why Corbishley was at left back, he cant use his left foot...

but i couldnt help but laugh at - it was my last match working on the turnstiles, and in typical MFC style there was a penalty, a dodgy linesman, and a brawl with Dean Standen!! i loved it...
