Cove were going pretty strong though last year before Coops left (in second at the time I think) and took a number of the team to Chertsey with him then and the rest now by the looks of it.

And weren't Cove spending lots of money at the start of the season? Makes you wonder about the commitment of some of those players.

Its still 11 against 11 at the end of the day, we'll see come christmas if there romping it.

 

Theres nothing we can do about it if the manager is splashing cash around like theres no tomorrow, cant see the point, get them up then thats it, there gonna go nowhere after that, a waste of money.

I would like to say that CCl is spot on, i know three Chertsey players extremely well, no names but one has scored many goals in recent seasons and Bolger is on no-where near that, and Brooker isnt even the highest paid player!! Funny how these rumours get out of hand. Wouldnt surprise me if budget is

If brooker is 5 miles from chertsey he is five miles from some bigger/higher clubs too, so perhaps playing with his mate is more important for him.

seems thats the point, theres a lot more there, the youth setup looks sorted so its cash + cash til that kicks in, along with growth in support through the doors and commercially. as long as "manager" stays commited
