Bagshot Lea v Chertsey Town

I went to this game yesterday Bagshot Lea possible top 8 side Chertsey looked good with Dobbinson outstanding in a good midfield

Spoke to a Chertsey person yesterday and he thought Badshot could have had at least couple of goals themselves yesterday, depends wether Chertsey can do it week in week out.

That is what i was told badshot not my view as i was elsewhere , but im sure that was not the intentions , probably to let them know you was there and not gonna be pushed about ?

Tend to agree with you Onside. Chertsey were good for their 2 goal lead at half time but Badshot certainly upped the tempo 2nd half and perhaps deserved a goal but once the 3rd went in it was game over. If Chertsey had a weakness it was at the back but they were formidable going forward. Brooker (7) was different class. Missed Bolger (?) when he went off injured but Dobinson was also outstanding.

Spoke to Badshot Lea's Jason Short who said that Chertsey should have been 5 up in first half hour. Pomroy missed two chances as did Leon Johnson. He said that Badshot manager said they had to go out and up the tempo 2nd half, which they did, without really threatening. From what I can gather Chertsey played very well in patches, but lets be honest, If you win 6-0 playing well in patches? What does it mean for the rest of the league when they are firing. The badshot Lea player also said he thought Marcus Moody (3) was excellent for Chertsey at left back. Lee O'leary was also suspended for Chertsey, so they will be even stronger on tuesday with him in side!

Well they certainly seemed to have been celebrating in style when I saw half their team out in Kingston later on that evening (imagime Pomroy will have had a sore head yesterday)!!

Surely not in this league, Merstham and Chipstead would be near that for the whole squad. If its true fair play to em, never seen a team throw money at it for a whole season.

Not a chance they would be paying that. From what I hear Brooker is there to enjoy his football and is very good friends with John Hamsher , so i'd imagine he is nearer the

No idea what he is on, but Brooker must be picking up good money whatever it is!!

 

Wasn't he playing pro football last season? If so, you have to question his real desire to play having taken such a drop down the leagues!

He surely could have been playing at a much higher standard of non-league football?!?!
