The Non League Papers

As is our want on a Sunday morning, the newspapers are trawled for news and comments. My taste is more Sunday Telegraph, whereas Mrs. C likes to take the Non League papers whilst eating her toast, drinking her coffee and listening to the CD of the morning (Fairport Convention this morning).

 

Only when something catches her eye do I get either a comment from her or a snip of the article. Apart from Barry Fry waxing lyrical over his clubs Non League signings, the Chelmsford Chairman making some comment about putting down roots at Melbourne Park there is a Ryman Review...

 

...And guess what? Most of the clubs are mentioned except us. Now, if memory serves, previously when our "small and insignificant" wasn't mentioned is dispatches, we had two great seasons. Personally, I say, bring it on. Leave us to "beaver" away in the back ground with no publicity...at your peril.

 

I'm going to enjoy this season...as I'm sure every Billericay Town supporter will!!!

 

Oh, and Tonbridge Angels is the Staines Chairman's favorite. Lovely...some bench side winding up to be had when they visit next time...
