Bosman08 - Sorry, I didn't see that you had already posted the results, Brimsdown's win at Broxbourne must be the result of the day. I wonder what has gone wrong at Sport London e Benfica, Special1 seems to be avoiding this Forum like the plague even though he posts elsewhere.

Was at the Broxbourne game today, must say i was impressed by Brimsdown, was only the second time I have seen them this season but recent signings have obviously turned round their fortunes, Broxbourne were bright in spells going forward but poor at the back can see them dropping down the table now

I thought FoRM might have attended this one yesterday but I expect they weren't keen to negotiate the large crowd (508):

FA Vase Quarter Final Replay - Chalfont St Peter 0 Needham Market 0 after extra time (Chalfont win 6-5 on penalties)

Well, after watching both matches, there was nothing to choose between them after 240 minutes, and there's always a villain in a shoot-out and poor Jon Sparkes was the man whose penalty was tipped onto the bar by the Chalfont keeper Mark Oliver. That was after the first 11 penalties had all found the net, most of them with the keeper nowhere near.

A tight 120 minutes with the key incidents being a red card on 90 mins for Needham captain Mark Bailey for an over the top challenge on Barry Brosnan, and then Brosnan himself hitting the inside of the post in extra time.

It's a two legged semi-final with Glossop North End, with the first leg in Bucks on March 28th and the return in Glossop a week later.

Interesting that the bookies made Chalfont the favourites for the Vase, but to most people, the Whitley Bay v Lowestoft semi-final pits the two strongest sides left together.

An anorak from another's Forum was at this one, I think he'll be lucky to see a programme:

3pm
Spartan South Midlands League, Division Two
Bucks Students' Union 5 Old Bradwell United 0 (att 31 officially, I counted 11)

Ultimately an easy win for the students, although all five goals were in the second half. Chose this game as I've heard suggestions that Bucks SU could be on the move after this season. The pitch is inside the Chalfont St Giles campus of Bucks New University. It's railed on three sides, with the fourth bordered by the fence of a hockey pitch. A pavilion behind the goal has an overhang providing plenty of covered accommodation.
Apparently the programme editor forgot to bring the programmes with him ... I've left my

We considered it but we've been to Chalfont a few times this season and chose to go somehwere else...our game of choice is revelaed for you elsewhere but it was a corker eventually as it finished 3-3 with a thrilling second half after a largely forgettable first.

LATO - So you were at Colney Heath yesterday then which surprises me as it's further than I expected you to travel to a game, how did Jonathan Donoghue play and what was his goal like. I couldn't get to Winslow United yesterday as it's a bit too awkward by public transport but I gather Tokyngton played well after going a goal down and deserved all three points.

no we weren't so I have no idea how he played and what his goal was like.

So are you officially part of the Tokyngton set up now then?

It sounds like the 4-0 scoreline flattered Bigglewade Town:

i was watching the game at elmfields gate in winslow, the home team were playing in yellow n blue and the away team were playing in black white it kicked off at 3pm on saturday, what game were u watching? maybe u were at a different game as if you honestly feel the away team shouldve won it cant of been this game you were at!

well im not disputing that if the away team players had focussed on the game rather than swear at the ref and linesman constantly and fight each other then it may of been a different game, but other than corners and long throws i dont recall the away team troubling the home sides defence or keeper, infact i think the away side only managed 1 shot which was the goal where as the home team particularly the number 9 had plenty of chances and if it was not for a great save from the away keeper at the death the home side would of deservedly taken all 3 points.

id be keen for your side of events now

they played all men behind the ball and tried to preserve there lead, caught the away team on the counter a few times and had one genuine chance, which was a fine save from the keeper. if you have about 8 players on the line, its going to be very hard to generate any sort of chance? the long throws and the delivery from the corners was good, but like i said there was no space to generate any chances cos the winslow players flooded the box!
