FoRM were at the Hanwell v Langford match. Even first half with Langford taking the lead but Hanwell coming back well to lead 2-1. A three goal burst from Hanwell just after half time took them clear including a free kick goal with one of the most poorly lined up walls I have ever seen. A four man wall had two and a half men guarding the side-netting and stanchion which they did well. Unfortuantely the Hanwell player curled the ball relatively simply around the one and a half men actually guarding the goal and into the net. Langford kept trying to play passing football but they could in the end have lost by more.

Good win for your prospective new club rhodes??

Commiserations to Biggleswade but good luck to Chalfont in the replay (think that sorts out a game for FoRM next Saturday!)

It seems like Whitley Bay were too strong for Biggleswade Town but it was a great achievement to reach the Quarter Finals of the prestigious FA Vase and more importantly for Wader very lucrative.

As Lato has already said commiserations to Biddleswade. As the league don't seem too bothered by the pile up of games Kentish have they have given us a free week next week so may join you lads down their.

I was on the phone to Wader after the game and in the words of the big man - At least they won the second half 2-1 grin

Yes that bus stop did take a bit of damage in the second half. Good luck to Langford for the rest of the season Miko.

An anorak from another's Forum was at this one, it seems like an inviting ground:

Pitstone & Ivinghoe 2-1 AFC Dunstable
Spartan South Midlands 2nd Division
Admission: n/a
Programme: n/a
Tea: 40p
Attendance: 30 for the majority of the game

The ground is a roped off pitch at the recreation ground in the centre of Pitstone. A large village hall sits behind one goal, an overhang providing plenty of cover. A small covered seating area is also there (a smokers shelter?), plus several park benches around the pitch. A decent, and cheap, tea bar serving some hot food too. Drinks apparently served later.

Decent game, though could easily have seen a higher score. A good win for Pitstone against the side second in the table at the start of the day. They scored at the end of the first half, but quickly pegged back after the break. When it seemed like Dunstable were gaining the upper hand forcing a few good saves, most notably when their forward was one on one with the keeper (had he not stopped thinking he was offisde), Pitstone grabbed a late winner to the loudest cheers of the day.

I may be wrong but I don't think Willo the Cat was at Brimsdown Rovers yesterday afternoon, anyway the answer to your question will be better coming from Hollie, Brimsdown seem to have somehow turned their season around and it will be interesting to hear how they have managed it.

A couple of reports on this one, firstly from Needham Market's Website and secondly from another's Forum:

http://www.needhammarketfc.co.uk/matchdetails.asp?mid=618

FA Vase Quarter Final - Needham Market 1 Chalfont St Peter 1 After extra Time - Attendance 579

It's back to Chalfont next Saturday after a hard fought contest ended all square. The first half was even, but dull with neither keeper called upon to make a save. The second half started off much brighter, with chances at both ends, but neither side could make the breakthrough so it was off to extra time. Chalfont took the lead on 93 minutes, but the advantage lasted only 4 minutes, so, it's a replay next Saturday.

I had a headache, so, sitting in the main stand right near the Needham noisy older contingent (over 60 years old), who made an atmosphere by banging on the back of the stand with a walking stick, was not ideal.

Its not as bad as the 4-0 suggests. There are some positives that came out of the game.

Brimmos first goal came from a over hit cross which landed at the back post and the guy that put it in did well with the angle he had. The second goal came from a short corner with a hint of offside as I instructed the 2 guys on the post to push up the lino fialed to see that they were no loger on the post and missed the easiest offside ever. 2-0 at halftime only down to the fact Virgo in the Brimmo goal single handed won the game for Brimmo with 3 top draw saves in the first half.

The second half Kentish were going well and looked like we may get something from the game until the ref awarded the softest pen I have seen. There were no appeals from any of the Brimmo players and the ref was the only 1 in the studium that thought it was. The pen was dispatch in great style (even if I had gone the correct way - you don't stop them in the top corner! The game was over and our lack of match fitness took its toll. The 4th was a good clean strike from just inside the area which found the top corner again.

There are no worries coming from the Kentish team as we know as soon as the match fitness returns the results will come.

Are you referring to Tokyngton Manor, well nothing has been formalised as yet but, as you say, it was certainly a good win following on from Tuesday's performance against Royston. Why don't you start coming to home games particularly midweek as you can leave home at 7.30 and still get to the Viking Sports Ground for 7.45.

Ah a typically characteristic volte-face there rhodes. (though it might be 360 degress of course!!!!) If you look carefully you can see the strings.

As I've told you before, you need to get new dossier compilers as your present ones are rubbish. They certainly have no idea of distances, times and public transport in North West London if those timings are anything to go by!

Lato - Well correct me if I'm wrong but you live in Northolt do you not which is one stop on the Central Line from Greenford, then it's a six or seven minute walk to the Viking Sports Ground. So can we expect to see you on Tuesday 24 March when Tokyngton entertain Brache Sparta, Spidermanor and Manorborn will also obviously be welcomed with open arms.
