I never said we'd win the league, but we're well on course for our pre-season target. I do know a bit about goalkeeping and as for the teams you mentioned - we've only lost two games drawn 2 and won 2. Not a bad record really even for a team punching above their weight. I think people would agree it's been a great start to the managerial lives of Lacey/Awad.

Lol, you obviously haven't heard that Jonathan Donoghue will be making his bow for Colney Heath tomorrow evening against Brimsdown Rovers.

I understand Colney Heath lost 2-0 tonight at home to Brimsdown Rovers, if that's confirmed it will be the surprise result of the season so far other than Kentish Town winning at Langford recently.

That's just it, Jonathan wasn't playing due to administrative incompetence at Kentish Town in not releasing his registration in time, it cost Colney Heath three points tonight so they won't be best pleased.

An anorak from another's Forum was at this one, 162 seemed a decent enough attendance:

Bedfordshire Senior Cup Qtr Final
Biggleswade Town 4 v Bedford 1

A poor Bedford side, who started the game with 8 of the team that beat Hitchin 5-0 in a league game, were completely outplayed by Biggleswade Town (what does this say about Hitchin!?)
Where do these teams get their keepers from? Chipped from 20yds for the first goal while standing on his line, although being 5ft 9" didnt help, he then conceded the 2nd and 4th goals from long range free kicks, one of which went straight through his hands
For the 3rd he obligingly dropped a cross on our full backs head.
Bedfords only shot on target was the goal, they were not even capable of hitting the target from a penalty they were awarded, although they got plenty of kicks on Biggleswade players on target, with the ref finally having enough of their No.11 and giving him a straight red.
Expected more than an attendance of 162 for a 'local derby' but Bedford fans seem very disenchanted, and going by this performance i can see why.

Was this comment tongue in cheek Ron or did he just have a bad game last night? I went along to watch as I've got a few ex-team mates in the Colney side and I have to admit to being rather dissapointed. You keeper had a bit of a mare, probably at fault for the first goal and then missed or dropped most of the other crosses he came for.

Brimmo good value for the win overall, don't think their keeper had a save to make?

Did feel for Colney on one part though... the ref was a shocker, ignoring correct calls from the lino to give his own decisions and some soft bookings which didn't seem to go the other way on similar offences. Also linos flagging non interfering players for offsides.
