Not at all, just the opposite infact as I'm always the first to give credit where credit is due. It was a good result a Langford and Rak looks like a good replacement for Jonathan Donoghue who I gather has gone to Colney Heath.

Tonight's result which at least gave Hertford Town a taste of 'the high life'.

So I take it you drove the short distance from Langford to Biggleswade after the game on Saturday to join in the celebrations. I think all you have to do is check whether Kentish Town are at home on the same day as the FA Vase 5th Round and if so confirm there and then that you will be at Biggleswade Town's tough looking tie with Market Drayton.

An anorak was at Goffs Lane last night and feels that Haringey were the better side in the first half, so much so that it was hard to tell which side was challenging for second place and which was struggling against the drop. The second half was completely different, a ferocious drive from MOTM Boro no. 6 (Marshy?), an overhead kick and a well slotted third seeing off their Coles Lane opponents.

The anorak was also surprised not to see a certain Mr. Rhodes there, especially as one of his forum pals was in attendance.

MKJames - Was this your report then from another's Forum, surely the attendance was more than just 26:

Spartan South Midlands Premier Division

Broxbourne Borough 3 Haringey Borough 0 att.26

6-00 admission, including programme

Haringey were the better side first half, but struggled in the second once the deadlock was broken, although they were not 3 goals worse than their hosts.

Not a bad ground, with seats in the corner where you enter the ground, going round towards the dugouts, while on the halfway line to the right, there are 5 large steps of terracing which also had 84 seats, although there was no cover this side.

From behind the goal the floodlights looked ok, but if watching from the side, they were very poor and there were 'shaded' patches running down both edges of the pitch, rather like during the warm up, before all the lights are switched on for the match.

On a really cold night it was poor for a step 5 club to have no tea bar, although the 'hangers on' were catered for in the clubhouse at halftime, but not those that had actually paid to get in.

Before moving south, this was my nearest 'new' ground with lights, being 190 miles away, so it was nice to do it in a round trip of only 140 miles.

I've not seen that report you quoted, it's not mine.

The attendance figure is about right, obviously there were more people watching than that but quite a few associated with Broxbourne. It was pretty cold and where I live the ground is sodden so personally was not expecting the game to even be on,let alone many to turn up.

Football Man - agreed, some top class keeping from the Haringey no. 1 to keep the score down.

So was Football Man at Goffs Lane on Tuesday, I bet he managed to worm his way into the Boardroom at half time and full time. Have you seen the report on Haringey's Website, I just can't believe Allan Fenn left 'the great' Peter Antoniades on the bench:

If you had turned up you would have found out. I would have thought a football fanatic such as your good self would have made the effort to get on a train to Cheshunt and see the Boro in action.

The game lasts 90 mins. Haringey did well in the 1st half, but never created a single chance. We felt that they could not keep up the level of wokrate and would tire, which they did. The 2nd half was comfortable for boro and their keeper kept the score down with some great saves.

I don't disagree with that onekeown, but as you well know it only takes 1 superb strike, a wayward tackle in or around the area or a dodgy deflection to change the course of the game. I know if's don't really come into it, but had Haringey scored in the first half( maybe if that offside hadn't been given?) it would have been much harder to get the 3 points.

Anyway very impressed with Broxbourne and looking forward to going there a lot next season.
