Happy Tram - I suppose you can thank your lucky stars that Biggleswade Town put Kentish Town to the sword in the last round, 6-2 after extra time, although to be fair Kentish Town didn't have a clue there was going to be extra time and had given their all in 90 minutes. Had they got through though and beaten beleagured Wivenhoe Town, as Biggleswade did comfortably 6-0, you wouldn't have been playing tomorrow.

I see that a few anoraks from another's Forum were at the game, trust Wader to build in a 'Groundhoppers Corner' at the Carlsberg Stadium lol:

My original choice at Christchurch was postponed so I decided to play it safe & Visit Biggleswade's new ground.

I have to say I was impressed, a massive improvement on their old ground. A large clubhouse, a nice stand and an excellent playing surface. The club has worked very hard and are justifiably proud.

Croydon scored first after 28 mins & Biggleswade equalised on the stroke of half time after winning a dubious penalty. The winner was an own goal 10 mins into the second half, a wicked deflection from a shot that the keeper probably had covered.

Croydon were a shade unlucky to lose.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Also went to this, but not a first visit for me. Instantly forgettable bar the Croydon fans with their bell and the penalty which wasn't. Did you notice the 'Groundhoppers Corner' in the bar?

Dunston Federation 5 Chalfont St Peter 6 excited

Apparently Dennis Wise has upset the working class natives up north by making Newcastle FC's training facilities available to Chalfont before yesterday's game.

He's matey with Chalfont's chairman and they're all hot under the collar about the cockerney mafia. cry

I have to say what a spirited performance from KT yesterday, once they went in front they defended really well and could have nicked another couple of goals on the break. Thoroughly deserved their victory. We have to bounce back on Tuesday.

Don't worry Miko the lads that missed the 2 one on ones had the urine extracted for the period in the changing rooms after. What did you make of my little cameo role for the final 90 seconds grin

As you say a good spirited team performance and lets hope that it can be carried forward to Tuesdays game at the Waders.
