Yes but how many pages was it, what did the narrative page(s) in the front talk about.

Tonight's result:

Premier Division

1 10 Kentish Town v Chalfont St Peter

(played at Chalfont St Peter)

Don't worry, I'm not going to rub salt in the wounds!

A certain anorak was at the game tonight, I wonder whether Willo the Cat was in goal for Kentish Town:

Kentish Town 1 Chalfont St Peter 10

Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division

Match played at Chalfont St Peter

As one sided as the scoreline suggests. There was a note in the programme saying that the team had brought in some new players to try and arrest the slide. It'll be on to Plan B then! I would hazard a guess that tonight on the pitch was the first time that these new players had met each other. It got so bad during the second half that KT moved one of their more ineffective defenders to centre forward, presumably to keep him out of the way and limit the damage he could do, although why they picked on him and not one of the others I'm not sure.

On a personal note this game provided the most goals I have seen in a single match and also the first time I have seen a team reach double figures.

It was also good to meet up with Royals26 and his son and the evening passed by in their excellent company.

10 - 1 thats a disgrace of a result for this level and certaintly not a proper score for football.

Have I heard correctly on the grapevine the coach has left? and some other players have walked away due to poor training?

So clearly the coach has been the one keeping it all together over the past few years and not the manager!

I predicted at the start of the year that KTFC would finish in the lower half, after the last few games they may be in the bottom half if this keeps up. Need a win and fast!

I understand that the Coach is on the point of severing ties with the Club and moving on to pastures new, I gather he spoke to the Manager yesterday who ultimately has to take responsibility for the result last night, perhaps he will resign.

Quote:

what I assumed were some of the KT boys arriving as we did, approx 20 mins before KO

I assume that Royals26 will be posting his comprehensive report from another's Forum on here later today but this is what stood out for me. I understand that Arsenal have supplied Kentish Town with a plush mini bus to travel to away games in but they don't appear to be using it.

Nellie - a couple of people gleefully (it seems to me),dancing on the KTFC grave, results like this happen now and again. When we (Langford) were first promoted, we had a reasonable start (5-0 win at Royston), then had a couple of real drubbings from Hanwell and St Margretsbury (if memory serves), but kept plugging away and managed to avoid relegation and that did go on for a couple of seasons. Eventually we got to grips with it, as I am sure you will. We feel we can now compete at this level, but it did take time and some heartache. Anyway good luck and a merry Xmas and a happy new year to you

That's not the case but you have to admit they have brought it upon themselves
