Bosman08 - Apparently Kentish Town were leading 2-1 with three minutes of normal time left but made a substitution which cost them the game. It then went into extra time but as many of the players don't turn up for regular training they weren't fit enough on a heavy surface and Biggleswade Town romped away with it in the end, they probably train two or three times a week which was the difference. Fair play to Kentish Town though for almost pulling it off.

Apparently being the word in question here of course.

Incidentally 2.38 is the time you are looking for rhodes.

Fairly comprehensive reports on the above, made by anoraks, can be found on another's Forum under games visited today.

Have to agree with you, not that i was there to witness it however 3 mins to go 2-1 up and to get beat 6-2 in the end is pretty poor. I wonder who the sub was?! Was it to keep it in the family or purely tactical either way not good.

Yes that's the million dollar question and who's decision it was to make the substitution at that key stage of the game with Kentish Town just needing to keep it tight for three minutes.

i got substituted with 3minutes to go, but my legs were really heavy. I wouldn't say bringing me off changed the game, we were just caught out at the far post which would not have been my position anyway....we was all over biggleswade and the fact they are 2 in the league gives us all big hope. At the end of the day we were not fit enough and they had more influencing subs on the day. It is goals that win you games and not possetion, and we learnt that on saturday!!!

"Every individual doing at least two nights themselves" On top of two training sessions? You sure Bossie... where's the recovery time?

Yes but at step 5, not geting paid-work takes priority, if i take the piss at work and say i am not working late i would get the sack, if kentish paid more than i earn at work it would be a diff story! Well for me anyway! To be honest, we lacked strength in depth rather than fitness-at this level the fitness part is not as important as ability, although it is a major part, but i think ability in our team (first 15) supercedes our fitness!! Most of the palyers in our team play midweek anyway. Just was not our night.

Anyway don't write us off just yet, if we still are not in the mix with 21 games played then you can write us off, but not just yet with only played 13 games!

Come on then rhodes why dont you ask me the question straight, as you and bosman seem to have all the answers. as for being clever rhodes i take that as a personel attack and i hope that you are banned from this forum, as you derserve to be, or is there one rule for you another for others.

would like to thank all the players for playing such a great game and biggleswade for making it an exciting match to watch, we came close but we did miss our suspended and injured players, but we came very close. good luck to biggleswade in the next round, and it was great to meet wader. a real true gent.

Friday and Sunday should be enough LOL!! Prob 3 nights enough if the sessions are hard enough, games keep most ticking over anyway. You boys are still up and about the top, and your stats keep on increasing you must be loving it! :-)

Went to see the Kentish match on Saturday, met the people there and was made to feel very welcomed, had a great view of the match in the stand, but the pitch was awful. But it made for an entertaining game, and over the ninety minutes I thought Kentish deserved the victory, but it seemed they ran out of steam in extra time, biggleswade are a very good team and will do well this season, i feel kentish showed enough to suggest that they can do well in their division. Had a good cup of coffee and bacon roll in the cafe, which was very cheap. Only paid

The stats haven't increased for two weeks! I missed the Markyate game through work so was on the bench on Sat, 25 mins in centre mid was my part to play. 18 year who slotted in for me has played superb in both games so I might be stitting out again this week!! Have got 90 mins lined up Sunday in a Vets cup game mind you.

As regards training, I'm having to do some of my own as we only train once a week and Div 2 don't have midweek games very often. Hopefully we can keep the good work up and be in the mix at the end.
