SSML Results Thread

was a decent game to be fair and a draw was a fair result, leverstock was very direct counting a lot on there front 2 who was decent, hanwell went in the game suffering with injuries they had no baverstock, adan, yebauh and mills which are 4 massive players, so had to really shuffle players around out of posistion and to add to there misery had 2 players carried off so a draw isnt bad considering i think and could have even won it, anyway they are still up there and looking good plus have the leagues top scorer scoring for fun.

Rhode's, javier actually went off when we were 1-0 up, gazza came on for him then set up the second straight away. The reason we lost was a simple case of being far to naive! Instead of coming out and using our heads we came out looking for a third, we should have just passed the ball about and try to frustrate Langford. Two horendous mistakes gave them the goals to get back in the game and the other two were good finishes! Really should not of lost that game!

Do we know whether Gavin is still watching Kingsbury play as he has been conspicuous by his absence lately, they seem to be keeping up with the pace:

I see that Leverstock Green equalised five minutes into injury time:

Watched Broxbourne draw 1-1 at home to Oxhey, Oxhey went 1-0 up early on and were dominating until they had a player sent off for a very poor challenge, game became a bit scrappy with Oxhey comfortably holding on to their lead, that was until the last 15 of the game when Broxbourne woke from their sleep and realising they were playing 10 men, creating a few opportunities one of which was taken.

Saf06 - Thanks for this report, it enforces my view that if Hector Varela had still been with the Club you would never have lost the game in a million years. I know you didn't work with him last season as you weren't with the Club however he is a tactical genius of Gus Hidink proportions and he would have told you to sit tight and not go out in the second half looking for a third goal particularly with Javier having gone off injured who, a bit like yourself, can hold onto the ball all day long.

I can't beleive they let the manager do that, I've not seen that happen at any clubs I've been at....

Surely thats the managers job though to pick the team? A coaches job is to improve those players and teach them how to win games of football.

Thought as 1st team coach he would be telling his players to keep possession etc and protect what they have.

Why is he still there if that unhappy?

PB - I didn't say Clement wasn't happy at the Club, you are putting words in my mouth. He picked the team last season together with his trusted Assistant Hector Varela whilst the Manager served the tea and burgers in the cafe along with the Chairman, this arrangement worked just fine hence the Championship however things seem to have changed this season and Clement doesn't seem to have the final say in team selection anymore.
