J Reynolds will make a difference with his pace, A Spooner still needs to adjust to this level of football and also curb his temperament he has however got high fitness levels so that should help him.

 

His brother in goals is decent and Tim M in the middle is solid, the 2 strikers are a decent pairing however its the squad depth Tok Manor need to solve when some players are missing that will dictate whether they move up or down the table.

Zezi - You have certainly, wittingly or unwittingly, rolled a grenade in here and it will be interesting to see how Lato responds. I have it on good authority that he was as thick as thieves with Sjj2112 last night and they were like two fish wives over the garden fence.

Zezi, thanks for the question which I'll attempt to answer as honestly as possible. You will have to forgive me because I don't know many of the players. Last night was the second time I've seen TMFC this season with the other occasion being the FA Cup tie v Biggleswade United. I actually think they have improved defensively since that game despite letting more goals in v Amersham (who I actually thought were a better side than the Big Utd team I saw). However the defence is still a problem for Tokyngton. The number 4 was poor and seemed more intend on arguing with the referee about anything that went against him than defending. The full backs though were better than I saw previously although the goalkeeper is in my opinion a liability. Maynard in centre mid, I agree is a good solid player at this level and going forward they look good. The centre forward (is that Owen) leads the line well but when the speedy guy who plays up front with him (is that Reynolds?) went off injured he got a bit isolated. I thought the sub who came on in the non matching kit was useful but I don't think I was the only one including him who didn't know where he was supposed to be playing. Thomas is of course a weapon with that throw at any level and as last night proved in SSML One it can be devastating. (of course talking about it on here will alert everyone). Bosman's overall assessment is pretty fair and I think TMFC could easily score 80 but let in 100 this season. They need to improve defensively and then with the attacking options they should climb the table. To be honest its a side perhaps marginally better than RMFC Mk 2 of last season but with one or two additions it could be top eight. However I don't really know enough about the strength of other sides in the division.

Oxhey Jets great win at home, for me a team that can with the games in hand enter the title race, they have a quality team and their home ground is starting to become a bit of a fortress. I believe i predicted them earlier in the season to be part of it, lets see if im right.

 

Sorry to see Sport Benfica lost at home, I didnt go as too much else on this week, tonight rest night. I think they needed to win this one to stay in the race, judging by the table now they cannot really afford any more slip ups, must put a run of wins together, interested to hear Special1's viewpoint as im sure he will be disappointed after a great result to have such a disappointing result so soon after.

Massive throw Dean Thomas was injured for like 2 months, that was actually his first minutes of the season.

Backline had to be changed last night and the makeshift didn't work.

 

However, the man in the middle seemed to have a preconception of what our players/team was about. Didn't give us a single freekick around their area despite deserving plenty. Even 2 defenders showing studs as they went to ground at the same time catching my player wasn't obvious enough for him. Oh and lets not forget the disallowed goal. It's hard to have any respect for this type of official.

 

Before anyone says it's sour grapes etc. You didn't hear me complain last week when we lost to the same team, did you?

Sometimes decisions go against you and it doesnt help Special1 there are some good and bad referee's out there, think it is important for all players to approach the ref before the match, have a chat and ask them if they can be spoken to during the match.

 

It works with some refs with a decent personality as you do get decisions, with the robot refs as some are you get performances as you have described last night.

 

You really need to work hard to get results in the next few games, Div 1 is hard to get out of so you will need to work hard. A lot of goals conceded at home last few matches does the formation need to change to be less expansive and play on the break? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions :-)

Yeah midweek is difficult alright its a challenge now for Benfica to get in the mix but that should drive the players and club forward.

Special1 , Kings Langley have travelled to yours on a wednesday night, is availability any different for them ? The only team in division 1 that wont struggle with the midweek problem is Royston so try and be realistic and make do with what you have at your disposal at the time .
