Wader - When I say a balanced view, I meant, read both reports and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. We have had a good start and at times played some great football, but also I believe some results have flattered us. As I have said It is my opinion that Biggleswade Town will be the eventual champions not least because of the depth of your squad. Hertford must miss Redford who was a constant threat and if you then add Heron and Dance into the mix, I don't think goals will be a problem

MIKO - With all due respect you can't say that until you have seen Kentish Town play, I wouldn't mind betting that Wader thought all his Christmas's had come at once when Biggleswade Town's game at the Copthall Stadium was called off recently.

Surely, we have all, including yourself, made predictions about who will win the Prem, without seeing all the teams, I am sure other teams apart from Biggleswade and Kentish Town will go on unbeaten runs and look good enough to win the league. I base my opinion on the squad that has been assembled at Biggleswade, and the fact that as required, they will add to it. If you recall last season I came on here to say how impressed I was with Kentish Town after our cup game, and they have obviously improved since then.

I've just had a look at the matches for Saturday and might go to Hadley V AFC Dunstable as it's quite local to me. Has anyone else seen them play this season?

ps, this is in Hadley's history on their website

'Hadley Football Club were founded in the 1882/83 season. A notable achievement during the early years was a 1-0 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur'

I expect Ramos would still struggle to get a result against them. smile

MIKO - You are contradicting yourself slightly here as you saw Kentish Town play and were therefore able to make a statement accordingly, you are obviously knowledgeable about the game as they went on to win the Championship. You will have also seen the 'dogs of war' mentality that the Club possesses whereby, as you will recall, the home changing room was ransacked before the interval with hundreds of pounds, mobile phones and ipods taken yet the players went back out and made Langford look ordinary whereas 99% of other teams, including Biggleswade Town, would have called for an abandonment.

Wader - What happened to your boycott. Interesting that you don't defend Biggleswade Town who would have certainly thrown in the towel at half time had their dressing room been ransacked. That mentality is probably going to be the difference between the both of you this season whereby the London based Club's such as Haringey Borough, Kentish Town, Kingsbury London Tigers and to a slightly lesser degree Cockfosters, Hanwell Town and Brimsdown Rovers are all psychologically tougher than the 'village' based Clubs like Biggleswade and Langford for example where there is little or no crime and you're not constantly looking over your shoulder.

Rhodes- Not really a contradiction as I saw Kentish Town in one game at the start of last season. As you say the atitude was superb after the dressing room break in. With regard to your 'Village' Club comment, don't forget the sides you mention don't have to worry about Cattle Rustling, Horn Swaggling, and haystack fires, so we too have a lot on our minds - LOL

I will also let the lads have a copy of yuor post, so they can see how they are perceived by you big boys from the'smoke'

Wader - Are you going to the Barn Dance tonight, at the farm?

If the changing rooms are being broken into presumably some sort of security is required then? Whilst chewing on an ear of corn we thought of that one a while back. Anyway our players valuables container isn't worth stealing. I know because I peeked and apart from a couple of baked bean cans linked by string, a candle and a wind up tin drum, there was nothing worth having.

I know Biggleswade and district isn't exactly the Mad Max world that you inhabit, but only a few months ago I read on the front page of our weekly newspaper that some mud was thrown at a pensioners front door one crazy Friday night in town. We are all very much on red alert now. And they still haven't caught the culprits which is even more worrying.

The fear of grime though generally outweighs the effects of grime. So we won't be having nightmares just yet. I have to say though that we have employed Group 4 to transport the team to our London away fixtures. Will we see the Queen do you think?

Miko. I'm sorry I won't be at the Barn Dance. David Archer sent me a telegram saying he has got some problems with his cows escaping, so I'm helping out with some dry stone walling with Joe Grundy. If you've got a spare paraffin lantern you could lend me I'd be grateful.

My post was meant to be perfectly serious and you don't appear to be treating it as such. MIKO saw first hand what went on that infamous evening at the Copthall Stadium and for the Kentish Town players to go back out on the pitch in the second half against Langford without batting an eyelid, and without even bothering to cancel their credit cards, tells you everything you need to know about their psyche which is worth a goal start in games. Tell me honestly would Langford and Biggleswade Town's players have done the same.

Apologies Cliff, but if you want me to be serious, I don't know how our lads would react in the same situation, I would hope it would be the same as the Kentish Town team on that night.

Going back to Waders post, you have to admit it was funny, wasn't it?

Anyway, who are you watching tomorrow?, we are in the Vase at home against Cogenhoe United and they lost to St Neots and beat Stotfold in their last two games

MIKO - What sort of crowd are you expecting tomorrow and what do you put your excellent start to the season down to, you already raised a few eyebrows last season by finishing sixth, albeit 25 points behind Beaconsfield SYCOB, and you seem to have got the measure of the Premier Division now after your promotion from Division 1 behind Haywood United in 2003/2004. Would you say you are ready for the Ryman League (or equivalent) and more importantly would leafy Forde Park meet the criteria of Step 4.

I don't know how many travelling fans there will be from Cogenhoe, but I would think we might get 80 to 100 total, but thats pure guesswork

After our first four games, the table showed us at the top, but, more importantly the four teams we beat occupied the bottom four positions, so that tells its own story I think. We played Leverstock and to be fair it was a good even game and there is not much between the two sides in my opinion. We also beat Cockfosters 5-1 which flattered us as they squandered some great chances as did Biggleswade the other night.

In summary I don't think we will have to worry about the Ryman and Step 4, but you would know better than me if Forde park is anywhere near the standard required, what do you think?

I'm still trying to make up my mind on that one, I wouldn't mind getting to AFC Kempston Rovers v Kentish Town in the Vase but it's miles from nowhere and, as has been pointed out on here, I don't drive. North Greenford United v Sport London e Benfica appeals to see Special1's bow in the prestigious FA Vase in a game they should win.
