a few matters concerning bowers today

Recommended Posts

i have a few issues from todays match, firstly i was dissapointed to find that when i entered the ground at 2.40 the programmes were sold out,how many did they print as there was a disappointing crowd there of only 76.

why were the teams not read out over the p.a. instead of deafening people with stupid dance music which NO ONE was listening to?

why were the teams not written up on the board like they normally are,as a supporter i would like to know who was playing?

once again at half time people entered the ground from the bar who hadnt paid, then stood in the seating area, although im not including hookey in this as he only sneaked in with 20 minutes left.

is lee stevens back at the club now? if not get him back, the least said about the idiot in the directors box the better, ive not seen him there before, maybe he sponsored the match but he seemed to want to start trouble with his 'mouthy comments', also tell your new centre forward that screaming the c word repeatedley is not acceptable.

Lee is on his hols and Blanchy is on his honeymoon... I know, the mind boggles, fancy getting married during the footie season??? Hiya Blanchy grin

As for me I only got back from the Emerald Isle late last night and had loads to catch up on today, so I'm guilty too.

As for the nutter in the "director's box", maybe he just confused banter with downright antagonism!!! doh

To be fair to Lightweight, he didn't bite and played him like an old fiddle!!

I did wonder where Blanchy was; you would have thought as a footie fan he'd get his priorities right heh

Me and Light were just standing there laughing at what they bloke was saying

the bloke was a idiot wasnt he? why let the clown sit in the directors box, bowers do let themselves down occasionally,at least tony cross behaved in a gentlemanly fashion all afternoon, how long before he has a heart attack on the touchline?? hes turning into a george borg soundalike.

I always thought that entry (at least at our level and it always used to be at Brooklands in the old days) was free at half time and onwards. Or has it changed and I hadn't noticed?

I can't comment on that as I only moved down to the tunnel end at half time so didn't see what happened there before that.

We had similar problems at Rush Green with some cheapskates slipping into the ground without paying from the clubhouse via the players entrance before the half time break. They were too mean to pay the cost of under two pints to get in. mad

This last comment expresses my feelings about anyone who tries to get in free at Mill Field this season too.

As big as possible would be great for our coffers. As far the game is concerned, I never make any predictions as to an eventual result. We'll make our point on the pitch as usual.
