What positions does BA need to sign players for ?

Notwithstanding that we have a crop of signed younger players; it seems as though BA is thankfully still looking for more experience and quality for the squad.

 

The unfulfilled positions as far as i can see are:

 

Right back, central defence, left back.

 

Maybe Corbs,Young and Gregory are lined up for those positions;but as yet remain vacant as far as i can see.

 

If one had a wish list, i would be adding another central defender to that as you need cover for suspensions ,injury ,competition loss of form,no form whatsoever- so need at least 3 central defenders.

 

I also feel that additional cover is needed for central midfield-albeit maybe Hickman provides that as i would have Wilson and Stubbs ahead of him.

Maybe one option here is to see if Roach can be signed for left back which means Gregory can play on left midfield where from the little i have seen he is better in that position than at left back.

 

Any other signings would be a 'bonus' imo.

 

Arguably-we need another striker-Peters is not an out and out striker to me -and should be given a 'roaming role;' on the right .However, with financial constraints ,i would not be too worried there-and again from what i have seen-Kenny Pratt could do a more than good job alonmgside Power.

 

Thus for me,urgently needed signings are:

 

right back,

central defence x2

left back

central midfield

 

total 5 players.

 

add a striker if possible

anyone else a bonus (James Peak for example )

 

In reality, i expect BA will be able to sign about 3 -one of whom at least will be a complete surprise as tends to happen.
