[Margate Football Club]

Stadium Redevelopment

The progress the Club hoped to make over the last 4 weeks to secure the proposed main operator was delayed whilst key parties involved in the final negotiations were away on holiday. All parties concerned will be available again from 12 August 2008 and our Development Partners are attempting to set a final meeting for next week. We will issue an updated statement as soon as results are finalised.

 

New Main Sponsor

Due to a number of delays the Club has encountered in finalising details with our new sponsor, we have been forced to accept that our proposed 3 year deal will now not be completed in time for this coming Season. We have been fortunate, therefore, that our Development Partner London and Margate Developments Ltd, has agreed to stand in as our main sponsor until the details with the above main sponsor have been settled, allowing them to formally announce their involvement. The Club would like to express its gratitude to London and Margate for their continued support.

 

Players

Barry continues to look at and talk to new players and the Club expects to settle contract negotiations with a number of players in the days leading up to the new Season. Your Manager and the full Management Team are totally focused to ensure that only the right players are brought in and that work will continue to see further additions to the squad over the next few months.

 

New Kit

We have received confirmation that our new kit has been manufactured and is now being labelled with the new sponsors details. This includes full kits and tracksuits for every single player down to the Under 7

Overall i read that as positive news.

 

Just slightly concerend on the player front that not more concluded contracts at this stage;and interesting that specific comment is made about continuing this over the next fews months.

Whilst managers always will be trying to improve the squad-is the subtext that we are struggling to get players at the moment?

I read it that we are looking to strengthen squad over next few months as per past seasons. Will be interesting to find out who we finish with though, one player who hasn't been mentioned for a while and I am not sure if he has played in recent friendlies, is Keiran Morris.

Like when I have travel delays I would like to know why there is a delay even if they cant do anything about it the club has told us something.

Great to see that the youngsters will be kitted out with track suits etc..

However does this mean when we get new sponsors that the entire kit will need updating????

I was bored and thought I'd quickly see how this new sponsor will look, unsure on if they have a logo or not but my guess is the new kit will look something like that. It's okay I guess.

The logo could be a picture of our finished ground.

 

(some may say that means a series of 'flying pigs'-i could'nt possibly comment- and for now, i for one am definately keeping the faith ).

 

At companies house, it appears to be registered as London and Margate Development Ltd (not developments )incidentally

I hope they put L&M development Ltd rather then London & Margate because i think that would look a bit cheap and i personally reckon this will the sponser for the season.

As far as i am aware -our change kit colour has not been confirmed.

 

It was rumoured to be ostensibly white-which is interesting if Ramsgate are also going for mainly white as their change kit.

can anyone yet confirm what our change kit colour will be.

I understood it was going to be black and white. Sure I read it somewhere on here or the main website.
