Just wondering what people are thinking for the starting line up for the game.

will Akinde partner Gash up front or will it be Moore or Ibe?

who will start at the back Macca,Smith and Charles?

 

My line up would be:

Cronin

Pooley Smith Charles Opinel

Shakes Stone Barrett Long

Gash Akinde/Moore

 

Subs:

Akinde/Moore

Hawkins

Purcell

Ibe

Mott

Presumably you had trouble spelling Stone. He has been our best player during the pre-season and doesn't even make your bench!

No place for Hawkins either!

A lot of people seem to be going for Gash and Akinde.

 

Neither of them has shown the capability to last for 90 minutes, it would be a pretty big gamble to start with two players that are both going to need substituting.

What happens if somebody else picks up an early injury? That would be all of your substitutions used up and no room for either tactical subs or further injuries or taking someone off who is just having a mare.

He might well do but I doubt that he will last 90 minutes tomorrow and I very much doubt that Akinde will so if we start them both then we have already used two of our three substitutions, nobody ever wants to use all three substitutes too early because if you do you will end up with ten men.
It would be a very dangerous gamble to start a match with two players that you know won't be finishing it.
