I wouldn't say "are a must" but a possibility is not beyond us.

 

We've going at them for a few years now and finally we've got a team that I feel Daish is happy with.

 

Year after year it's felt a little like he's had to build the squad from scratch but this year it was just a few additions.

 

People think Akinde will be our big player but I don't think Gash can be ruled out of being top scorer.

 

The play offs are a possibility but with what happen to us last season, name change, MyFC all followed by a trip to Wembley I wouldn't rule out anything as a possibility at the moment.

This is definately the most potential we've shown for a long time with a Manager we all have a lot of faith in.

 

In terms of keeping players I don't think it matters much in that if we don't make the play offs they might leave, but if we do they could get better offers from bigger clubs and leave anyway.

 

Here's hoping to a good start to the season tomorrow.

very true and i agree with you, but i believe that we will be able to get play-offs anyway, it is by far the best team we have had in years, and i strongly believe it is our year to go up. COME ON YOU REDS!!!

How many of the other 23 teams have you seen in pre-season to form that opinion Josh?
It doesn't matter whether this is the best team we have had in years or not if there are five other teams that are better then we wont be getting a play-off place.

Im not interested in the opposition,last season we had a team capable of beating any of the teams in our league,but we didnt have the squad to do it week in week out. This season sees most of the team still here and we seem to have made some decent signings, making the squad much stronger,we can now have players on the bench capable of changing the game.All we need now is a bit of luck and not getting key players injured. Blue square are offering 16/1 for the title and ive just staked

It's been the most attractive pre-season I can remember.

 

The new signings look to be very good. Stone has seamlessly fitted into the team. Shakes has given us something to get excited about on the right for the first time in what seems ages.

Gash looks to be an all rounder of a centre forward and should improve even more with full time football.

Pooley looks assured and Ibe seems to have good awareness.

 

I am super confident that we can really make our mark on this league this season.

 

I bet a few Oxford fans were thinking that last night as well.
