The squad for the 2008/09 season has been finalised, and is as follows:

 

Leon Antoine, Stuart Batch, George Blewer, Mel Capleton, Steve Corbell, Danny Curran, Jay Curran, Craig Davidson, Kevin Dobinson, Jon Edwards, Gabriel Fanibuyan, Leon Gordon, Richard Halle, David Lee, Ian Luck, Chris Moore, Tarkan Mustafa, Ryan Oliva, Ben Patten, Andrew West, Ricky Wiseman.

 

It looks like Colin Wall & Dave Kreyling will not be with us..

Yes good luck to all the players who have left, they have all played a part in getting the club back on it`s feet and all deserve our thanks for that

Defintely have a quality squad developing.

 

The best of luck to the players who have left the club. Sad to see Dave Kreyling and Colin Wall leave.

 

I assume the likes of Jordan Mumford and Kieron English will be involved with the reserve team and called into the first team squad if the need arises.

From what i understand he was after abit to much money..

I don't think its a major loss that we didn't sign him we have enough forwards in my opinion..

I was quite impressed with Nougher in the pre season games but to be honest we have enough forwards and midfielders at the moment.

Great to see Jon Edwards in the squad, and dont be put of by his size, he is also a classy rugby player and his strength is going to surprise so many so called 'tough guy' midfielders. Top signing Batchy.

surely as a Ryman Prem club now, it would be worth having those extra players like Nougher, and loaning them out?

We may well be a Ryman Premier Club but that dosen't mean we are going to over spend, the directors have set a budget which is realistic based on our income etc.

Nougher looked ok but im not sure if he could cut it in the Ryman Prem. We have plenty of attacking options to work with.

There's a nice balance there & to be honest I don't think Mark Nougher is better than what you've already got. BTW what has happened to Ryan Edgar & Clydie ?
