According to The Saintsline, that local hack has completed his last broadcast. Applications for the post are directed to that chap who used to drive the red tractor.

 

I remember Buzz once said that it could make around £100 each week during the season so it's a good source of funds for The Club.

 

What if 3 or 4 people were to get together [on a rota - not all ot once] and that would spread the load? Wor Webbo and that other chap did it for a spell last season as I recall.

 

As usual, I'll waive my usual commission if this idea is adopted The Board.

 

[i wonder if he would object if I called him "The Great Gibbo" on here. It has a ring. I have noticed that it seems to be required to add a 'y' or an 'o' at the end of a surname in football circles. That may be one of the reasons Batty didn't win many caps, and Le Saux didn't make the trip this time.]

I know a chap who rang the Saintsline from work and forgot to replace the receiver when he went home. Fortunately he didn't get sacked and the Saintsline benefited by over £500 for the 16 hour call! Did he go to Buzz or The Great Gibbo the following day and propose a deal on the basis that if he was able to generate 5 times the usual weekly income of The Saintsline in a single day, that should merit a free season ticket?

Not sure about this 'Great Gibbo' tag, sounds too much like a circus strongman to me, how about something more in keeping with his roots, say 'Wor Johnny Lad' for example. Howay the lads (as they say oop there).
